@@salsaucedo I disagree, actually. From the latest album and this clip it's like a renewed energy in the band. Musicianship seems to have improved, though I never thought that would be possible, and Asami sings better than ever. On top of that, as much as I loved Miho, I love Fami's tone more, it's chunkier, heavier to my ears. I think they have gone from A+ to AA or whatever. I choose gamer terms because many people get what I mean; leveled up, as in became even better. Doesn't mean I'm right but it's my opinion ;-)

I forget how many times I have watched this but after a while you realise it was well choreographed, opening song, sound, lights and videography well planned and then you notice other things like all 3 guitarists returning to their mic's simultaneously and then on a number of occasions if you look down the imaginary line from Midori to Miyako all 3 once again raise their guitar heads simultaneously. Last but not least Fami, she was put on the spotlight 3 times also with encouragement by the band members and the audience also clapping! The opening song was so well put together!! 😎🤟

"We Are Back". And it looks like they have worked a little on their stage presence. I have never seen them work together so much on their visuals, i.e. all lifting their guitars together. If Fami ever had any doubts about joining Lovebites surely this concert would have put her mind at ease. Not only do her band mates obviously appreciate her but also the crowd.

I flew from the U.K. to Tokyo for this gig. It was one of the most memorable performances I’ve ever seen. I was centre stage, 10 feet from Asami’s pedestal, second row standing. So all the shots you see looking upwards were taken by two cameramen who were between the barrier and the stage…and were essentially the view I had, only I couldn’t move. I must have watched this 40 times since its release and I have to say that the production values, both visual and audio, are top drawer. The editing is what helps you feel the energy that was inside the hall. This is what happens when you cage four hungry wolves for two years, they take in and nurture a new cub, and then you open the cage. They are, without question, the best band on planet earth. And, impossible as it seems, they are better than they have ever been.

Fami - the nuclear power cell of smiles, joy and energy! Notice Fami slaps those two bass solo sections and the bass/drum section after the solos is a joy... Asami's look of support and delight, followed by a thumbs up to Fami. Not only did Lovebites make the perfect choice, Fami BELONGS in Lovebites. The energy is radiating from all members. Haruna's drums sound amazing and of course M&M kill on guitar as you'd expect... but notice Miyako seems invigorated!!! She's moving around, head-banging even, more so than I ever remember seeing. "We're back!" Hell yes, you are! GO! 🤘 Oh, and Asami sounds better than EVER!

The LOVEBITES Alphabet started with A like Awakening from Abyss, their first album. Now we are at K like Knockin' at Heaven's Gate. It's a live recording of day 1 of two comeback shows called "We are the resurretion". The first two live shows after almost two years and with a new bassist. And on top it's all filmed !! These women had to be confident and courageous. I hoped LOVEBITES would release a "live in Tokyo 2023" Blu-ray, but had the upcoming "Judgement Day Tour" in mind. I'm a member of the wolfpack and hungry for the new Blu-ray.

Is it just me, or does MiYa seem like she's enjoying herself more? I sadly think that there was turmoil between her and Miho back in the day. Some live performance videos I watched in the past I could see a scowl on MiYa's face as she looked to the other part of the stage (where Miho was). At first I thought she had attitude toward Midori, but now I tend to believe it was toward Miho. Too bad. Miho is a treasure, but I think Lovebites struck gold with Fami.

In the online world, speculation and lies can spread like it's true before you know it. Is that good for LOVEBITES? Celebrities cannot easily affirm, deny, or correct each individual statement directed at them. Now that Fami has been found and joined, we can enjoy the activities of LOVEBITES anew. Miyako's scowl is not due to morning sickness during pregnancy, is it? If your comment is correct, from the point of view of Miho's fans, Miyako will become a bad person, Miyako will not stay, and if she leaves, LOVEBITES will lose its main composer and LOVEBITES will collapse. In the past, there were scattered comments pointing out the feud between Miyako and Midori. However, it was because Miyako was annoyed with some comments that she could not play as fast as Midori, not because she was annoyed with Midori. (annoyed ≒「カチンときていた」Japanese) This was answered in an interview for a magazine project. This is a precedent for taking translation software for granted and interpreting it incorrectly. The structure of Japanese is different from that of other languages, and if you misinterpret a particle, it will have a different meaning. @@Donegal62 Miyako's demeanor on stage is typically serious, She's a classical musician, who learned to play rock and metal, in her young adult years. I have all the Lovebites concert DVDs, have watched these many times. Often, Miho would move on stage towards Miyako, and the two would look and smile towards each other. I never sensed any tension between them, nor did either of them say any such thing, either. Miho posted her reasons for leaving. Nothing in her message hinted at conflict or musical differences. I do think the band was disappointed, maybe hurt, that their founder left just as the band was gaining global success, but this is also speculation. I adore Miho, wish her every success, blessing, happiness. She's precious beyond words. That said, Fami is truly amazing, a perfect fit with the band, superbly talented, great bassist, with magnetic charm, charisma. The more I listen to her, the more I admire, respect her.

Amazing energy!! You can see how happy they are to be back in front of a LIVE crowd to perform. That said, Haruna on the drums ..... they sound amazing. The kit is begging for mercy and she just continues to punish it, I really feel sorry for it. LB the group that uses, abuses and destroys their instrument during every performance. No wonder I see their faces on wanted posters from the Musical Instrument Rescue Society.

Very good sound engineering. Very good video. You can hear the drums! They are impressive! Haruna! Haruna! Haruna! Other instruments are a bit low, but can clearly be heard. M & M do their usual magic. And Fami just shines both in playing and smiling like a sun. What a first live performance! And Asami do even better than usual and gives Fami her full support. This makes me just happy.

If the lighting, sound, and photography is the same as on this song, the new DVD is going to be killer. Can't wait until August to pick up a copy. They had to have been so excited to play their first live show in two years. And it certainly shows. I will always like Miho, but I have to say that Fami seems to have brought a new energy to the band. From listening to the "Judgement Day" album and now seeing this video from the tour, it sure seems like they have found a new excitement, and that they all leveled up during their time off.

That’s a 12 out of 10 for me. There’s a teaser video for the concert that lists the song order. So many things to love. Of course those things everyone has mentioned like the Asami smiling and pointing at Fami during their little duet. As you said the production is top notch. Some little things like after Asami screams “We’re baaaaack!” the next short scream she does is reinforced in the mix to make it sound huge. The interplay between Midori and Fami during Miyako’s solo is great! Awesome reaction as always Cheezy! 🤟👍🙏

Someone high up in the NA branch of Live Nation is a huge fan of the Japanese music scene. It's the only way that all these Japanes bands getting US tours and even a pretty niche group like PassCode getting a US tour makes sense. This means that as long as Lovebites is willing to go through Live Nation they should be able to do a US tour if they want to. Otherwise, they'll have to do what Hanabie is doing for their US tour and rely on festival appearances to get to their desired destination.

Asterism did play in Texas several years ago, before Covid, including Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. I don't think they've returned to Texas, since. I would pay most anything to see Lovebites play in my native Texas.
