I absolutely LOVE how in that split-second as Fami steps up that first time you can feel the attention of entire stadium just LASER-FOCUS onto her, "It's your moment" and she NAILS IT sending the crowd into a frenzy!!

@@michaelthain4488I’m the wrong side of 60, travelling from Wolverhampton to the London gig, from there to Zurich for Lindau, over the alps to Milan before finishing up in Paris. Then (as it stands at the moment) I wait for September 1st and the Tokyo Garden Theatre.
@michaelthain44888 ай бұрын
@alekhidell Wish I had the dosh to do that, but even just going to London from North Scotland plus hotel plus day off work will cost approx £600. Even though 71 still working as an IT contractor. I suspect I might have been cheaper going to the festival in Spain where they are appearing. Cartagena I think it was.

Also wrong side, if you want call it that, of 60 and travelling down to London to see them. Are there any younger people going? They might need some nurses with defibrillators. These ladies need a far bigger stage for their talents.

What drew my attention was after the second little break in the guitar work, where Fami was allowed to shine, she had a smile as wide as the stage. Lovely to see 😊🤘

now that´s what I call a reaction! thank you chase for your appreciation of the ladies. so good to see you back with them. and it´s not only the outstanding musician skills, that set them in front of so many other bands, but also their composing skills, but also the ability to put the ego behind to leave space for the other bandmembers. there really are only very few bands like them.

Thank you for checking this out. This is their first live song in front of an audience in more than two years, after a lot of life events (losing their founder, having two babies, deciding to recruit a new bandmate, writing a ton of new material--and PRACTICING! You can hear that they have leveled up. Asami's voice is more powerful and controlled, and Miyako has just about caught up to Midori in speed. This drive to keep improving is why there is no limit for this band.

Glad to see you come back to the Metal Queens. After their hiatus and returning with their new bassist Fami, Asami exclaims "We Are Back!!" and they are. Lovebites playing in the United States for the first time at the Prog Power music festival in September 2024.

One thing to note re: Fami being restrained and how mature it is (while def. true) is that none of these songs were written after she joined the band- this is an older song to begin with but even their newest album was already written when she joined, so none of the songs are really set up to showcase her talent. I'm sure we'll see more fireworks from her on their next album, when she was a member of the band through the writing process.
@Celion272008 ай бұрын
in fact it's not true. as Miho left the band, Miyako wrote the basic bass lines of the songs of the Album " Judgement Day". but when Fami came she rewrote them all.

Hello, greetings from the old Spanish wolf. These adorable girls are getting better and more professional every day. To their incredible quality, perfection in everything they do and optimistic and vital character that they exude from every pore, we must add the incredible staging, the dominance over the crowd, how they know how to win over fans. Especially, my angelic Asami, who unites and coordinates all the members of the band with her fabulous and beautiful voice.

Based on their current social media posts, it appears they’re gearing up for a new LP or EP. Fami (named after the FamilyMart chain of convenience stores in Japan) is highly skilled, but here she’s playing the bassline of the previous bass guitarist, Miho. I’ll be highly interested to see what she does on the next release.

Chase, it's unfortunate that I need to write a separate post here. I'd much rather focus on the music which I'm sure you do as well. However, we have been blighted by a malicious and toxic troll for some time now which the rest of the Wolfpack will attest to. Note, it's just ONE troll with multiple trolling YT accounts. He creates "pro-Lovebites" and "anti-Lovebites" trolling YT accounts and invades reactions with them. He then gets his "pro" and "anti" accounts to 'converse' and 'attack' each other. His perverted objective is to sow confusion and chaos. He tries anyway. He thinks he's playing some online game and we're all his pawns. As such, you have already seen some of his 'handiwork' in here. One of his malicious goals is to attempt to discourage reactors from coming back to Lovebites and try to establish his "accounts" in the comments sections of reactions. Another one of his perverted objectives is to create and instigate discord between the different fanbases from the other bands. Note that this troll has done similar things at other bands' reactions. Don't let this toxic troll win.

I currently count 5 trolling YT accounts (both "pro" and "anti") still present and active in here. More may appear later. Just spotted two additional YT accounts belonging to our notorious troll within the comments section here. They share the following characteristics: (i) Their profile backgrounds feature images of Lovebites. These accounts are masquerading as 'fans' of Lovebites to deceive others. (ii) Both accounts were registered on the same day in February 2024.

I had a little exchange with the troll on a video, until I realized it wasn't worth my time. I have no clue as to what could possibly motivate people to be like that.

@@SamuelR007 It's pretty obvious this troll has zero life outside of the virtual world. He probably lives in his mom's basement and as you can see, he pretty much does this trolling full time. Like I mentioned in my OP, he thinks he's playing some online game and we're all his pawns. The point to note is NOT to fall into his attempted 'traps' and 'deceptions'.

I'd been following Fami's KZbin channel for a while (at least a couple of years) and was already a big fan of hers when LOVEBITES recruited her, so I was pretty excited at the news. 5:24 "More and more common that these dualing solos are expected, and a lot of people do them ..." Really? I would suggest the exact opposite is true. How many rock or metal bands these days even have dual lead guitarists? I don't claim to be an expert with an encyclopedia knowledge of modern bands, but almost all heavier bands that I do know of have either a single guitarist, or if they do have two guitarists, only one of them has the technical skills to play lead.
@ChaseCarneson8 ай бұрын
Loads of bands with 2 lead guitarists, a number of them I’ve reacted to on this channel. Polyphia and UTA are just 2 immediate examples. I think within this genre, it is more common than others, but still very very impressive.

If you want to listen to more heavy metal music, maybe it's time to check The Chthonic. The band's lyrics are often tell about Taiwanese history. In fact, Fans often toss hell money during Chthonic's stage performances to pay tribute to the lost souls described in the songs and to create a dark atmosphere. People of Chinese culture who are unfamiliar with Chthonic may find this offensive or disrespectful because the practice is considered to be taboo.

Welcome back to Lovebites ! This is Fami's first concert and first LIVE song with the band. As of today, she has not given a lot of her input into the band's music yet. For example, with the latest LP "Judgement Day", all the songs were already written when she joined Lovebites. She was just given 2 weeks to come up with the basslines. We are all looking forward to their next EP/LP where Fami will have full creative input.

You’re not the first to say that. It took me a while to get into Asami’s vocals, and there are still times where she makes me wince for one reason or another. She won me over with her charisma and presence as a front person and with her skill as a songwriter. I can’t imagine the band without her, but yeah, she ain’t perfect!

I don't disagree. When I first started listening, I too found her ... "flat" to my (casual, totally non-musical) ear. Can't really explain it. But after a few listens, her vocals are just what Lovebites "sounds like" so doesn't even register for me anymore hehe. In the beginning for me it was "They are all fabulous ... well...
