1:27 "Radd Spencer, a man married to his robot arm" I both played the trainwreck reboot and laughed at this joke very hard.

A HARD game I managed to beat as a kid without any cheats. That's a well made game.

It's back to back games with Worlds of Power novelizations! This one was pretty decent though, since it didn't try to integrate a kid who was playing the game into the story but instead treated it as a straight-forward action story.

I mentioned this before but this in one example of an arcade title getting "consolized" for the home market, since Capcom was one of the publishers who quickly recognized that simple quarter munchers weren't going to cut it in the era of Mario and Zelda.

definitely one of my all-time favorites on NES! definitely did not know about the censorship til I got on the internet and into the retro communities and emulation. the grappling hook definitely takes some learning, but indeed once you've mastered it it's so satisfying. also highly recommend the 'rearmed' remaster which fixes the rough edges and adds some new bosses!

The key to beating this game is the top-down sections. You can farm them for extra continues.

Yeah this game is a lot of fun once you get over the learning curve

You mentioned that you're limited to three continues in this version. The NA version starts you with no continues, but allows to farm them in the overhead sections. Are you still able to do this on the Famicom? If not, it seems like that would make this FC game harder, despite there being more 1-Ups laying around.

There is a typo in the end card: "converstion" (should be "conversion"?)
