Thanks for the review! I bought this for my wife and I to play. We did start an Aftermath campaign, but it was to fiddly to finish. It still was a good game, and we did have fun. Familiar Tales just looked like a more polished product and the miniatures are going to be a blast to paint. These are very good sculpts!

I've gone through the campaign and agree with most of your assessment. There's a bit less replayability than I'd hope, but definitely can get two play throughs without it getting stale. It's on the easier side (in both plays I was able to craft everything and get all the resources), so I think it was designed for non-gamers. And I don't mean that as a bad thing, as I was able to approach the second play from a more relaxed perspective. It is a very clean and streamlined game, that my biggest regret is not painting the minis beforehand as I don't know whether I'll go around a third time.

Thanks for the insightful review! My only problem with this game is that you MUST play with 4 characters. My children loved Stuffed Fables where you can adjust the number of characters to play - it helps with the immersion. Currently we are playing Mice and Mystics where they need to control 2 characters and it's not that exciting for them.

This game is super easy to play more than one character. Two is my favorite, but because of how this works playing 4 was a total breeze and I wouldn’t want to play without the full group of adventurers. It’s a far more simplistic game than M&M.

I believe there will be German, French, Polish, and possibly a couple more by the end of the year.
