My husband’s parents had this amazing Korat cat, which originates in Thailand, I believe. His name was Saisabot, but they mainly called him Sai. He was very affectionate and he insisted on regular walks with his kitty harness. He would actually beg for it, and when a family member would grab the leash, he would stand stock-still with his feet planted far apart to ease the putting on of the harness. It was incredible. Any and all of my family cats would plop over on their side in protest,😂 Edit: Hubby reminded me that Sai basically to his HUMAN for a walk, actually. They found it difficult to keep up with him!! We miss him still, even though the last time we got to see him before he passed was in 1983.

Charles Dickens once said "What greater gift than the love of a cat" and I think it's true. I love how all cats have a genuinely distinct and different personality... even the ones that are just pure affection. I love all fluffy animals, but cats are and always will be my favorite ones.

We had a tabby/calico mix that was similar. You would see variations in the coloring within her tabby stripes. She also was a very opinionated, confident cat. RIP Ms. Sassy(pants) 16 years with her, from 7 weeks old.

I rescued a totally blind tortoise feral kitten where I worked at the time 9 years ago. She grew up and is so smart. Unfortunately me and my ex girlfriend broke up a year later and " Blind Kitty " has lived with my ex. But is doing great. I moved back to Florida and rescued 2 other feral kittens and one is a half blind female both doing great but my Border Collie has never cared for the cats like some dogs do.

If you play with Lilith with wand toys, or whatever is her favorite toy and if you exclusively feed her she may bond more with you. Experts are learning that cats really love to play with their owners and they actually thrive on it so please try that...Also..talk really high pitched baby talk to her...cats love that too! She , being a tortoiseshell cat, has a different personality as you said, than most cats but I think if you try to engage with her with play; she will grow to love you more. Cats really need exercise much more than people realize! She is such a beautiful cat! You are so fortunate to find her and to give her such a loving home!!

True but not really in the spirit of the story. Also she was so tiny she could have been dumped. I know when my cat went missing I put posters up and now with social media it's easier than it was. So all they did was give a baby a home. I say your animals pick you anyway. I have a stray who's picked me. I tried to find where he came from but he was so skinny and had a too tight collar on his neck I hoped that the people who'd had him weren't looking for him. Now he's a big healthy boy, who gets neutered soon.

Brown tabbies tend to extremely gentle and have very deep personalities. I have a brown tabby boy I rescued and he's very much like this. You can play finger games with him under the door and all you'll feel are his paw pads. He goes out of his way to not hurt you.

Whenever my husband comes into the bed my cat jumps in the middle 😂 He’s like- You need my permission before you can touch her. And he only lets my husband touch him if there is food involved.
