Henna is one of the natural dyes so that makes sense! I like that. Btw there is henna in the Sims! In the tattoos sections. However, if you use henna please appreciate it more beyond it's beauty. Learn about it and understand it's roots. Lots of people use henna because it's their tradition but lots of people began using it and slandering the origins of henna

Someone mentioned it in a previous video but I think it would be a great idea to create a holiday called “Spring cleaning” or something similar, where the traditions could be “cleaning”, “gardening” “fasting” etc, that way you could devote a whole day to getting the house in order and complete a holiday. Especially after the chaos of Summerfest!

I suggested having a formal dining room, but in the room where the kitchen currently is, because it's more closed off and works better for a formal dining space. Then you could have a smaller table in the glass roofed area, and a nice large, open kitchen with an island in the empty room. It would work really well for the layout of the house.

Luna should garden fruits and veggies so she can cook with only recipes that utilize them. It gives purpose to those seed packets/harvestables, makes food cheaper, and adds some challenge. Also you dont have to sell them directly for money like you do for flowers... most of the time :P

I was just thinking how they should do a pregnancy/fertility pack or expansion. Just something where you can explore trying for a family in the sims. Obviously kid friendly but they could include Obgyn as a new career and a new option to track your peak times of fertility. I feel like it’s too easy to have families in the sims lol of course with this, would come other issues of female anatomy. It would be hard to not make it offensive or kid sensitive though.

It’s especially true of red hair as red hair is a recessive gene which usually requires both parents to at least have the gene for it to even be possible. So even excluding the possibility that Luna only dyed her hair red there’s nothing saying that the rest of her family’s not all blondes and she’s the only redhead.

Regarding the red hair, when I first saw it I just figured that Luna could've dye her hair a different colour. People do that all the time, why can't a sim "dye" their hair lol? You see multi-colour dyed hair in in-game hair as well as custom content all the time. Irl you can dye eyebrows too, and eyebrow pencils come in many colours. It's not a stretch at all for Luna to have different hair. It's not like she suddenly sprouted tight curls or something.

Sorry I am commenting so many years later. I just started binging on your rags to riches when I started to play sims 4 couple of months ago. I am trying to catch up. FYI.. about genetics, red hair is recessive gene. Even though the father has dark hair, he can still have chromosomes for red hair in his dna. Blond hair is also recessive. Red is most recessive of all hair colors. So with the family, red and blond hair children from dark hair parents is very plausible. It is just harder to believe to have 2 blond parents with dark hair child. Your household is very plausible.

Toddler tip I heard about on reddit: if you put a dining chair near the table, but angle it with moveobjects so that it's accessible, toddlers can sit there and eat. I don’t think grafting is one percent. I grafted Holly onto another plant that grows in a season holly doesn’t, and my first harvest gave me three holly, and another couple holly later on. That or one percent is for some reason different in the sims. I’ve hunted for a 1% encounter in Pokémon, and it took hours. But if getting a spliced plant is one percent, I’m either extremely lucky or it’s not actually one percent Also. Orchid can be found through grafting or rare seed packs. Bird of paradise are found through grafting and rare seed packs. You can get those at level 10 of gardening

Maybe once you reach level 10 of flower arranging and achieve all the flowers (orchids/birds of paradise) then you can start the new gardening job! The kids bedrooms are looking very bare. Laundry will be easier if you give them each a hamper. You could also give them each a dresser for clothes and one of the big cuddly toys. I think that'd make the rooms look friendlier and more like a child's bedroom should. And don't forget to give Richie an anti-monster night-light when he ages up!

First of all I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't buy a surfing Santa or sand snowman considering this was SUMMERfest. And secondly maybe as a little present to themselves they should hire a one time maid service since there are plates and laundry everywhere.

Oh, and the kitchen/diner/room problem: I suggest you move the dining table to the inner, square, room and make the outer room into like an orangerie with lots of lush greenery and perhaps a couple of comfy chairs for an afternoon coffee. Kitchen remains where it is. Maybe furnish dining room with a nice rug and classy statues and paintings?
