This is from a roll of DS8 Vision3 50D I shot in 2021. I processed it yesterday in my LOMO Tank ECN2 and digitally scanned it on my Blackfly-S Telecine. Edited and color corrected in Resolve Studio.

Cool! Love the DIY effort to process and scan a roll of film all yourself ...but why go through all that and then have the aspect ratio of the image incorrect?

Very nice. I came here from your fb post. I’ll be shooting a bunch of DS8 this spring and summer in a Bolex H8 reflex modified to DS8 🤞. If you don’t mind me asking, which Canon model did you use?

It’s the canon DS8. DS8 is the model. I own 2 and have been shooting them for 20 years.

@@paulcotto I see. I’m not familiar enough with the Canons. I thought maybe it was a modified Scoopic. Now I’m curious about that DS8 model. Thanks!

Is there an easy plug in for Resolve to invert negative film, along the lines of Negative Lab Pro? Or is it primarily messing with curves? I'm building my own Telecine with a Blackfly as well. My vintage family stuff is koda/ektachrome, so no problems there, but I want to shoot some Vision3 myself. I suppose I could always import 4000 frames into Lightroom if I really need to...

Here is an article where they talk about a resolve negative plugin. www.filmkorn.org/colorgrading-of-color-negative-films-with-davinci-resolve/?lang=en

@@paulcotto Unfortunately, that's for a Mac. Might need to do the lightroom / NLP dance.

I'm trying to do DIY telecine. What is a good microscope zoom lens to use with a Super 8 projector like Elmo or Sankyo?

I am currently using a 45mm Sony C-Mount macro lens with built in adjustable macro tube I picked up off eBay 20+ years ago.

@@paulcotto I see. I found ones that cost $70 to $150 from AmScope and another company
