You would never expect your nearest and dearest would be capable of murder... Unfortunately these poor souls were taken far too quickly by the people they were meant to trust the most...

Andrew Suh deserves redemption and forgiveness. He is the Definition of Rehabilitation and no longer a threat to society. He has paid his time, admitted his wrong doing and does seem to take responsibility. I don't believe he would harm anyone now. While it does not change what happened it is clear his sister should be held accountable here.

Andrew is still responsible for his actions. He knew right and wrong. He made the decision and chose what he chose. Andrew took a life. He was manipulated yes. But this does not excuse his choice. It did not give him the excuse to take a life. If the justice system used manipulation as a defense which freed those who kill? People could kill and cry that their state of mind was manipulated by overwhelming emotions which caused them to react and therefore they should be freed. No. We choose our actions. The action of murder is punished by the convicted having their lives taken away. Put in prison with others who I am certain claim they were manipulated. Andrew did not kill because he needed self defense. He did not kill to stop the boyfriend in the midst of beating his sister. Ultimately, it was Andrew's choice. He knew that his actions would kill a man. He put the gun in his hand. He pulled the trigger. And then he FLED. Which means he KNEW what he had done was wrong. I'm sure Charles Manson was a prisoner who caused little trouble. We still wouldn't have let him out. Why should Andrew be let out? What if someone else manipulates him to kill again? The law does not operate on emotion. It operates on evidence. Andrew killed. He fled. He was caught and now pays the price.

@@corimoon3360 They were both abused emotionally &/or physically by their father, his actions created understandable resentment in Catherine toward her brother & Mother. But she went on to do the same to Andrew, who didn't deserve it. She acted selfishly, murdered their mother out of greed & resentment, became her father, abused her brother who trusted her, & framed her partner for the murder _she_ committed, using that (& stories about him physically abusing _her)_ to manipulate her brother into murdering him. And I remind you, _Andrew_ never made excuses for what he did... Unlike Catherine, he _was_ ashamed of himself. He even reached out to Catherine after all of that. I agree it’s sad, but at the end of the day he killed someone’s son. So should that family just be okay with him being let out because he was manipulated? It’s awful that Andrew was manipulated and coerced to do the things he did by his evil sister, but he made his choice. He was very smart and knew what he was doing. He chose loyalty to his family over what’s morally right. He has to take responsibility. Sadly, he’s where he belongs. If you want to say he has an excuse then the sister has an excuse too. How silly does that sound? Murder cannot and should never be justified by Revenge and/or loyalty.

So, a 12 year old couldn't have cleaned the crime scene so well, but according to his own testimony the intruder didn't clean anything and ran away? Also strange that the intruder could inflict 70 wounds, bang on the door and clean up the crime scene with the short amount of time described by the 12 year old. Also, there are a lot of children that kill. Some at a lot younger. Just look at the Jamie Bulger case or at Mary Bell.

Andrew, who appears in the first case, appears such a sweet natured and incredibly loyal man. Certainly, I do not condone murder, but I respect that becoming orphaned and having been forced to literally clean up following his mother's murder would have irreversible psychological impact that undoubtedly changed Andrew's state of mind. I personally feel that Andrew was coerced into murdering Robert and only did so because he felt that he had failed as a son because he had not been able to protect his mother, and perhaps was attempting to "make up" for his perceived failure to his mother by protecting Catherine. He honestly believed that it was his cultural duty to protect his sister and that he had dishonoured a promise to his father. I honestly feel for him because whilst he should not have murdered Robert, he only did so out of obligation to his family. Poor man deserves to have his appeal listened to and considered but instead was treated as a cold blooded murderer, which he is not.

The last case still boggles my mind. But saying that a 12 year old can't clean that well when he had 1 hour to clean up? I think it's possible. There are kids who murdered their own friends. So I think it's possible that he killed his sister. OR maybe that unknown guy is a skilled serial killer that hasn't been known yet. But the number of stabbings seems personal. Which killer would stab a little girl that much times if it's not personal? Seems like everything is pointing to him. Hope the truth will be out soon. May all victims rest in peace.

Daughters in Korean families are very loved and cherished, regardless of what was said. I’ve never met a Korean female that felt unwanted and that “she didn’t belong” based on her gender…that’s ridiculous. I can’t speak for the typical Korean family dynamic, a century ago but I can say in 100% faith that children of both genders are equally loved in modern society and I’m 45 years old. My moms family was the same way, where the daughters outnumbered the sons and all were loved equally.

I think it just depends on how old school the family is. Just look at the Chinese one child policy. That being said I think the dad was old school as well as severely sexist considering he was willing to divorce his wife over it. It felt like I was watching a palace kdrama or Cdrama hearing that. Feminism has a long way to go still in modern Korea but haven't heard of it being THIS bad. Esp to be completely shoved aside.

I don’t believe Isiah is responsible for his sister’s death because 1-How would a 12 year old know how to clean a crime scene 2- There was a male hair in Leila’s underwear I theorize that there was an intruder ,and that the intruder had assistance from Isiah and the neighbor. “Why would Isiah help the intruder? “You may ask. Maybe Isiah made a deal with the intruder to keep Isiah alive and that he could do anything to Leila. Which may have lead the intruder to assault Leila sexually to explain why there was a male hair in Leila ‘s underwear. I personally think that the investigators could have done more with the case . They could have tried to identify the hair and find out who it belonged to.

I love how everyone is all super critical and holding the sister (Catherine) accountable her actions even tho her father is at fault for why she turned out that way… Yet y’all don’t hold the same standards for Andrew. He still did what he did. You can argue he was “manipulated” but that doesn’t excuse his actions. Just like you don’t excuse the sisters actions even tho she was heavily abused and neglected as a child. Y’all are acting just like the father. Favoring/Excusing the boy while Hating/Ignoring the girl. Y’all have zero empathy for child abuse victims and it shows. The real person at fault, the real monster is their father. He failed both of them, especially Catherine. He’s the reason Catherine turned out the way she did. Korean customs were very mysoginistic and gross and I feel bad for a child having to grow up being beaten, abused, degraded and treated as if they don’t matter at all by the people who are supposed to love her only to see them give everything to another child and knowing it’s all because of the way you were born and you cannot change it. I can see how that can garner extreme mental illness and even resentment towards the favored child. It doesn’t excuse her actions but neither does being “manipulated” excuse Andrew’s actions. It only explains them. I hope they both can heal and come to find peace with their past. Especially Catherine who faced the worst of it.

Most people do not know, that if you say have a family member say committ suicide or are murdered in the family home, it is the family that has to clean the place up once law enforcement concludes their investigation. I have come across families who had to do the cleanup after a loved one committed suicide when they shot themself in the head. The death of the loved one is already horrific, but the cleanup is absolutely traumatizing. One widow I counceled had to cleanup after her husband shot himself in the head, and she just wailed when she told me how she cleaned up brain matter and found found part of his skull and brain under a end table.

Of course Andrew needs to be held responsible for what he did, But in my opinion, there is a huge flaw in the justice system when it comes to these types of cases where its 100% proven that the defendant is both, a perpetrator and a victim. I think they should go case by case and look at all aspects and in a case like this, it shouldve been taken into consideration that he was pressured, groomed and manipulated By his family member to do this, and without her, he never wouldve done it. 100 years without an opportunity to appeal, doesnt take any of that into consideration. He has already served more time that many killers who kill just because they want to. Thats the flaw.
