Jaheira trying to keep her family safe by staying away hits a little harder if you've played the earlier games. Her husband is killed in the beginning of BG2, so she definitely wouldn't want to repeat that experience. 1:50 Drizzt is definitely not Dribbles the clown. Drizzt is one of the most famous D&D characters, the protagonist of many books, and was one of the first 'good' drow. 48:20 This note is a reference to some of the comics. Minsc was turned to stone and believed to just be a statue of Minsc until he was accidently restored to life. It's why he's still alive despite the earlier games being over a century ago. 49:58 The Absolute cult is a very recent occurrence. She would have been gone for a few months at most. 17:23 "I'm poor" says the adventurer with literally thousands of gold.

1:52 OMG a Drizzt reference too xD hahahaha "Drizzle"! That's really funny that you read it that way. No Dribbles was the clown. Drizzt is a Drow hero ranger and titular main character of the Legend of Drizzt novels by R.A. Salvatore. There's been a joke that so many people played good-hearted drow rangers because of him so I think the story in the paper being about a Drizzt impersonator is actually in reference to that xD That's really cute.

He's probably the main reason why there are so many options now to play non-evil drow, and why drow aren't attacked on sight. Back in 2e, non-evil drow were incredibly rare, and Drizzt was one-of-a-kind.

@1:55 Drizzt is a character from D&D books and games. Arguably the most famous one. He's a Drow as well. All brooding and such.

1:44 Drizzt reference!!! He’s the protagonist of The Legend of Drizzt. I highly recommend the Homeland (book 1) if you want to learn more about Drow culture. 20:10 *Josh Hutcherson intensifies* 20:45 Welonz may not know her away around a lute but she knows her away around loot.

I play as a half-orc and was super glad to reach the Gate, I can count on 1 hand the number of "nice" orcs we meet before the city, then the orcs of the city were just dudes, just... chilling. I know I am in the minority but really liked Jord

Catgut isn't supposed to be made from actual cats... It's supposed to come from sheep or goats... (It's a strong cord made from their intestines, used for sutures, instrument strings, etc...)

The moonrise fight was a century ago, but Jaheira left her house a couple of years back bc only then the cultists started moving
@Peckles1231Күн бұрын
Has it really been years since Jaheira left? I got the impression that it was a few weeks/months at most. Her and Minsc came across the cultists in Baldurs Gate and then she followed them straight to the shadowcursed lands from there. I don't think she spent several years sitting at Last Light doing nothing.

I do believe Rion (the half-elf) is Jaheira's biological daughter by her late husband Khalid and she is probably named after Gorion from Baldursgate 1, only the others are adopted I think.

If you travel from the future to the past and tell me that we get a new content about Jaheira's (!) family (!!) in a new brand BG game (!!!), my mind would literally exploded lol I'm very fond of Jaheira's character, Larian ate with the way they portrayed her in this story. My only wish that she would be with us since Act 1, but I also understand why the game deliberately brought her as a companion only in the end of Act 2, she kinda like special guest star and due to her status in BG universe it would have been strange to have her among starting pack of companions. She needed to be required, not simply given out to us on the silver plate immediately. Also that scene with Astarion being stuck under the staircase is nothing in comparison with my Shadowheart for a bazillion times chilling in places and refusing to follow us anywhere due to either not be able to jump, being stuck between things, or simply not going just because lol Even Gale has better jumping abilities than Shadowheart lol I even had to replay a whole quest as I found Shadowheart resting in the sewers, while we were miles away from her. Oh dear...
@dianarendon4037Күн бұрын
What class was she? My Shadowheart was a war cleric and was breezing through all obstacles. Astarion on the other hand...

I've never had this scene with Florrick, weird. If it's new, I'm definitely with Welonz, weird scene to add. Why would she trust Mizora over you lmao.

We're talking about a devil, and it's D&D. Mizora could have used a charm spell and rolled high persuasion. lol
@nickrubin7312Күн бұрын
It is a scene since full release Mizora has human form, she isn't always appears as devil, thus "lady Mizora" as a title. Just like any devil, like Raphael. Why would Florrick trust lady of the court over some rando drow? Who even are you to be trusted in a first place? Well, you can convince her, call her out, whatever, but who are you in comparison to nobles or people of the court, councilors? Exactly, a rando Florrick has allegiance to Ravenguard, she only knows Wyll as the son who messed up and that's it. She isn't obligated telling about dragon or whatever to any bum-group or weirdos and Wyll in devil form in a first place. She might as well consider it a trick on her as well. I don't know how it is weird or why would Florrick consider either Welonz or Wyll as good guys in this scenario. What you free someone from prison, and now they go about trusting you for life, they can't be a hypocrite (which you actually can address, if you want to and that's your RP). Florrick perspective: you literally learn that Wyll condemned his father to death, the one you know and the one you owe a lot, you admire, that is what lady Mizora told you (notice how she specifically says "lady Mizora"), and you would go "wait a second, hmmm, hmmmm?". Wanting to be this way is very main character energy. Presuming people don't act rash on half-truth or misinformation, that is kind of ...well, naive.

It used to be very buggy in triggering. Lost my first Wyll romance to not provoking it.

I mean, "not the same race" is pretty... Like there are half-elves for a reason (even in this one, you can play as half-elf drow). Half-orcs would be the same. Idk, when Asari and Krogan mess around we don't bother, but Jaheira and possible half-orc child, wild? Not like it is... yeah, sometimes happens to be mixed, funny how it prompts investigation somehow, like "damn, how did this happen???? Was he an orc or something?" lol, not like it is different from irl. Anyway they are all adopted, some not much story there and nothing happened, I bet canonically Jaheira was single since Khalid died. Jaheira isn't really a commoner per se, she is nobility from Tethyr, but kind no one cares in this part of Faerun I guess. The house is nice, but still in Lower City. I like how she ended up in general, the little quiet place she carved for herself (I mean her hideout in the basement), after pretty much life full of adventuring, but also big tragedies and losses, to settle in like this, really fits, at least for the character I've known since BG1.
