Lifting weights is important. Especially as we age. Lifting weights increase your metabolism and is better for weight loss than cardio. Weight lifting helps keep the weight off as well! You got this! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

You can lift lite weights with him a few days a week and continue your regimen too. It’s important to keep the young ones engaged in positive activity. That way you will be serving both of your needs.

I needed to hear this today! As a Momma, it’s so hard to prioritize ourselves, even when it comes to our health

Good job! I made the same decision for me and my son. He often wants to dictate my exercise (he's 6 and has ADHD), but I tell him that I give up a LOT for him. In this .... mommy's exercise is hers and I have to lose weight to help take care of him, my husband but most of all, to glorify GOD. I don't think he understands but that's OK. Part of our homeschooling is fitness. Keep going!

While I am not a mother, it is important for women to achieve personal goals in order not to lose sense of self! You becoming mentally and physically stronger will only allow you to be even better for yourself and him. Even if he doesn’t understand now, he will one day! Good job mama!

So proud of you! If you can lift some kind of weights with your cardio, please DO! People who lift weights will keep the weight off something like 75% more than people who just do cardio and it's GREAT for your bones and makes you stronger, too. Also try adding simple balance exercises and stretch before and after. You are amazing!💪❤💐

Aw her son’s a cutie 😆 & y’all don’t necessarily need to bond over exercise, but it’s sweet to see parents & kids spending quality time together, regardless of what they’re doing

You're doing so amazing! Maybe someday you and him can add one weight training day in to do together each month, or maybe even an active thing of his choice to do together to keep him interested in the fitness process. Either way, I think you made the right call for you, and I'm cheering for you! ❤
