@@Aster_Risk explain cobra to me
@Aster_Risk5 жыл бұрын
@@CLOSE1RocketLeague I can sure try. I work more with FSA/HRA stuff mostly, but I do know a bit. COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) is a federal law. Employers are required to pay part of an employee's premiums for the health insurance coverage they offer. That's why group insurance, while still usually expensive, is more affordable than some individual coverage with how our current system works. When someone no longer works for the company, or works too few hours for example, they typically no longer qualify to have premiums paid by the employer. This is where COBRA comes in. It requires that an employer allow someone to retain the same coverage as long as they can pay for their own premiums. It's helpful, because you aren't just automatically thrown out into the world with no insurance. This law also covers retirees, spouses, former spouses and dependents. You definitely need to talk to the benefits person at your work if you want to know more about your workplace specifically in relation to COBRA. In this comment I used what I know as well as information from this site: www.investopedia.com/articles/insurance/11/intro-cobra-health-insurance.asp

@jarnodatema8 жыл бұрын
Mike Diaz what cobra?
@youfoundisaac8 жыл бұрын
Jarno Datema The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events. Qualified individuals may be required to pay the entire premium for coverage up to 102 percent of the cost to the plan. COBRA generally requires that group health plans sponsored by employers with 20 or more employees in the prior year offer employees and their families the opportunity for a temporary extension of health coverage (called continuation coverage) in certain instances where coverage under the plan would otherwise end. COBRA outlines how employees and family members may elect continuation coverage.

Not that he would know me or give a fuck about these comments, I will defend Seth McFarlane here. Brian is a fantastic arrogant libertarian character that has always had breakdowns in which he lacks purpose in life, so attempts to find that in examples such as this. He then because of his arrogance takes it over the top and sees the errors of his ways once it's pver. Nothing wrong with this episode it's fantastic
