I like how it's heavily implied that they know in order to be safe and successful that they need to operate as a four-man team. Logan has been through an intense trauma though and they don't want to risk pushing him so against their better judgment the three of them go. They should have listened to their judgment however as with one man short they are eventually outmaneuvered and cornered. Better yet, Logan also seems to realize that they are in real danger without enough crew members and despite what he has gone through he gets up, puts on his gear, drives over and ultimately saves the day. Logan knew that his team still needed him and he stepped up to the plate.

It's more of a "the person who can hold himself together in such a situation is not a person to mess with, they've seen worse than the worst and they are still here. They are badass," type of statement. It's not always about psychosis or mental breakage. Usually that refers to the person who is not ok, aka the person who just was defended, in this case Logan. It also involves empathy, respect, boundaries, and giving people space, as well as time. It's actually healthy for the person who is hurting, and a reminder that some things are worse and some people aren't easily trifled with. Also, if the hurt person was ok, then asking in such a vehement manner is not smart, aka be careful what you wish for. That was a lot to explain the statement, but there you go.

I remember when I used to work in pest control it was exactly like this. I unfortunately got fired and served 7 years for manslaughter. I heard my boss call my colleague a problematic Parasite which I didn't want spreading around the station so took care of it. Turned out they was arguing about money and he wasn't literally a parasite. But out of context I was in the right and got stiched up badly.
