That Marge Simpson Quagmire r ape joke got banned in syndication. The joke gets worse because you hear offscreen Quagmire shooting everyone in the Simpson house including Maggie.

. James L. Brooks worked on The Simpsons from the begining but Matt Groening is the creator. usually parody falls into what is called "fair use" which means you can depict characters as long as it's intent is for satire reasons, it's to protect people from being sued for doing parody. But it was an internal decision by Fox to censor it. Simpsons made a Family Joke before when Homer cloned a bunch of himself they showed Peter Griffin in the crowd, Seth Mcfarlane claims the r ape joke was his way of making fun of them back and complained it's ok for them to make fun of his show but he can't do it back, but obviously he went way over the line.
