Yeah, they seem too young to have known what that was. That's fair, as Hampster Dance was first put out in 1998. Of course, the tune is just a sped up version of the song Whistle Stop, from the Disney movie Robin Hood, which came out in 1973. They're both WAY too young for _that_ reference.

Seth Green, the creator of Robot chicken & The actor that played "Scott Evil" Dr.Evil's son in Austin Powers movies is the voice of Chris. It's not his natural speaking voice. The song you were wondering about was made a meme as the hampster dance when someone made a website in the late 90's(or early 2000's Idk) where hundreds of cartoon dancing gifs appeared on the page with that song playing in the background. It's a sample from a song but I forget what song that is.
