To be fair, they removed that sign. Now you can find it at JFK. But someone flipped it and wrote on the back: "Late in WWI. Japan brought us to WWII. @huyxiun2085 Except we didn't save the world, we gave up before we even began now were going to have to redo the whole damn thing. As soon as Japan surrendered the USSR should have be hit by nuke after nuke until unconditional surrender and then on to mopping up the CCP in the mountains. Instead we vanquished the lesser of three evils and let the other two rub amuck.

As a Pole I have another stereotypes: 1) We're "golden hands", we'll fix everything without needing a specialist 2) We're very prone to alcohol related issues, also we possess a Guiness World Record for the highest amount of alcohol in blood and surviving (almost 2 percent), fishermen are especially prone to this: - We'll fish here until we don't catch a catfish or we get alcohol wasted. - But there aren't any catfish out here. - Exactly. 3) When it's not needed, we'll argue with ourselves, only when there's an outside danger we'll unite. 4) Some Poles use the strongest curses like commas. 5) We come with a inborn hatred towards pretty much all of our neighbours besides Slovakia (Germany and Russia you know, Belarus practically only because of Lukashenka and in other cases they're fine, Lithuania for not wanting to restore PLC after WW1, Ukraine for Vollhynia and Czechia for stealing part of Silesia when we were busy fighting red orcs at Warsaw).

8:34 actually, Athena is the goddess of War and battle strategy (among other things, but mostly war). People think that Ares is the god of war, but, in the Greek myths, he's the god of violence. Ares' Roman form, Mars, is the god of war and Athena's Roman form, Minerva, is the goddess of just wisdom, which is mostly what causes the confusion with the domains of their Greek forms (like how translating something in google translate and immediately translating it back can sometimes get you a different word) Also, Cronus is a titan, not a god, he should be holding a sickle, and he should be chopped up in little pieces

I drove Uber for 3 years and yeah, I got some stories. One of my favorites was the guy who got in after a night at the bar. He informed me he ate a bunch of shrooms, didn't tell me where we were going, and at some random intersection in the ghetto told me to let him out. He just walked off aimlessly. And he was most definitely NOT from the ghetto.

Cakes & muffins are both baked food products: The difference between cakes and muffins is that a muffin is a form of bread; whereas a cake, which is much sweeter, is not. Cakes are the favorite dessert choice while muffins are served for breakfast. Cakes usually have frosting on them while muffins are never frosted.

I used to be a taxi driver, yellow cab not Uber, and boy do I have stories. My favorite is my first ever ride. I picked up a guy in serious pain who wanted me to take him to the hospital. I knew that there were going to be a lot of hospital calls, so I didn't think anything of it. I started talking to this guy to get his mind off the pain. Turns out he was in a gang shooting 3 days earlier and wanted to lay low before heading to the hospital. He had a little black grocery bag with him. He said, "that's where I've been keeping all the stuff that's been coming out of me." Then he starts crying about how he's going to die and all, until I get him to the hospital, where he gets out, almost forgets his bags of birds and bobs, and leaves a juicy stain on my seat.

In the Chernobyl disaster, I'm pretty sure whilst it was happening lots of the dust was being blown north into Belarus (Chernobyl happens to literally be less than an hour away from the Ukrainian border). So Belarus was very badly affected by the disaster whilst parts that were south or even east of Chernobyl weren't as badly affected. A fair bit of the dust even ended up as far away as the U.K and Scandinavia.

I am going to make a new conspiracy theory about the Baltic States in Family Guy; Latvia is a total military dictatorship evidenced by the t-shirt advertisement and Estonia is in the middle of a war evidenced by their ambassador’s speech at the UN when Peter was an interpreter. However what isn’t stated is who they are fighting. I think it’s Latvia because there may have been civil unrest in Latvia due to an appalling lack of basic goods, such as colored shirts. In order to end the unrest and solidify trust in the Latvian dictatorship, the Latvian military invaded Estonia, or more likely just had skirmishes with Estonian troops over some border villages. This is what would lead to Estonia declaring war on Latvia as Latvia had been attacking Estonia’s Border, to support this, the Estonian ambassador mentions their borders. I forgot what he said about them but he still mentions it. This is definitely 100% true, my source is just trust me, it is.

The Irish lady praying then popping out a baby is a dig at Irish Catholics. It's the same as the song "Every Sperm is Sacred" from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. The Catholic church used to forbid the use of prophylactics (and still discourages their use to this day) while the Church of England does not. With the Irish Catholics being the largest Catholic population in the British Isles, this, combined with the Protestant-Catholic hostilities, lead to the stereotype among their Protestant neighbors (primarily belonging to the Church of England) are just constantly having babies. The whole "abstinence until marriage" thing probably contributed to the domestic abuse stereotype, too. I imagine there were a lot of what we'd call "shotgun weddings" there back in the day. It's not like the Catholic church approves of divorce, so that would leave a lot of people stuck in just miserable relationships.

It's definitely a stereotype of Ireland that's lasted for quite a few centuries. From what I remember it's a pretty dark stereotype given the history, since it was about how the Irish Catholics were breeding and outpacing the number of English Anglicans being born. This was even as the English's policies toward Ireland (At the time Ireland was apart of the UK) destroyed it economically and exploited its ppl to obscene degrees. It got so bad that a famous satirical piece got written called "A Modest Proposal" was written about the rich English just eating poor Irish babies to help solve Ireland's economic/over-population issues since they could barely afford to feed all those kids. Then I think it somewhat popped up again when a lot of Irish Catholic ppl moved to protestant USA during the great famine.
