Wouldn’t killing Stewie’s ancestor to make him cease to exist also cause Bertram to cease to exist? They’re half brothers so they have at least one shared ancestor

I suppose it would depend on whether the ancestor he chose was on the Griffin side or the Pewterschmidt side. Killing a _Griffin_ ancestor destroys Stewie most directly by preventing _Peter's_ birth, which would also destroy Bertram. Killing a _Pewteschmidt_ prevents _Lois'_ birth, but leaves _Peter_ unscathed, and as long as Peter is born, Bertram should be fine while Stewie ceases to exist... unless, I guess, killing Lois' great-great-whatever also prevents or delays the birth or insemination of _Bertram's birth mother,_ whether because she's actually a distant relative or else the timeline change causes a chain reaction.
