I liked when it was *implied* Lois had a wild and questionable past while still being an upstanding wife and mother. It made the contrast between her past and present humourous in scenes like this. Nowadays, she's more likely to sniff a line of cocaine right off the kitchen table in full view of her kids just because.

This is such classic family guy. Like the Simpsons, they manage to fit in so many jokes in such a short time span. Peter's "Nah I was in bed by 2-2:30", Lois knowing the street value of cocaine, the newspaper "paper rain", and lastly Stewie. Nowadays each joke would have it's own segment and be spelled out over the course of three minutes.

It was cool back when they liked eachother. It's sad, the writers could change them back at any time and no one would be upset. They could do some wacky sci-fi episode with stewie and brian accidentally undoing everyone's negative character development if they want to explain it. ...you ever want to get a job just so you can fix one thing that annoys you and then leave?
@anhero23774 ай бұрын
That would require the writers actually trying hard. Seth no longer takes care of Family Guy. Presumably he's working on other projects (Orville, etc). Constant driving change from the big guy himself is the only way one of his shows keeps quality.

Actually it’d be more like $135,000 - $450,000 depending on how you sold it. Definitely no more than half a million. A kilo wholesale is worth $30,000 and sold at a street level (even after cutting) would net back only $100,000 max.

Uncut Nicaraguan, Wait is that out Friends Contra were selling
@demox44356 жыл бұрын
I know this is dumb but it pisses me of that the writers make that kind of joke based on no research whatsoever. There is simply no way anybody would pay 1.7 million for 4 and a half kilos of coke. A gram of cocaine gets sold for 80-220 bucks, depending on the quality. So even if it's good stuff, if you aren't cutting it then there's no way you make more then 1 million of that. The random inaccurate number just pisses me of idk
@YelkotsBantu5 жыл бұрын
Just shy of 1 million if we are going 220 for grams all the way up. Highly unlikely that anyone would sell a whole key in g's anyway. Cops ALWAYS inflate their busts for the media and the brass so for them to say 1.7 million I'd say it's pretty spot on. IRL if you are cutting then you can stretch that to 1.7 easy.
@alexsm38825 жыл бұрын
Street value always means it's cut at least a little, 80 bucks is already pretty nice stuff seeing as you can get it as low as 40 and it's a damn cartoon, dude, chill...
@SoldiesBC3 жыл бұрын
So I did some number crunching and assuming the value of 1 gram is $150 (Average between 80 and 220), and 1000 grams are in a kilo, I multiplied the price by 4,500 (4 and a half kilos) and came up with $675,000.
@callmebill89823 жыл бұрын
Um...
@Ryan888812 жыл бұрын
Let me settle this for you guys; a kilo is worth $30,000 wholesale, but when they say “street value“ they’re talking about the most possible amount of money you could make off of it at a retail level which would be 80,000 to 100,000 max. Even if you cut it it’s unrealistic to think you could get more than 100k off selling a kilo. Four and a half kilos can get you back no more than half a million even after selling it retail (which is where the real money is at). If you sold each kilo individually at a wholesale level though that’d be only like 135k. Smart people sell by the gram. And plenty of people who get kilos do sell by the gram btw.
