as a few people have already said, the joke about being"Ten minutes late for my flight on 9/11." Actually happened to Seth McFarland. he learned later that the flight he would have been on was one of the two planes that was crashed into the Twin Towers

That cutaway with the guy in the bathtub reviewing movies reminded me of the time when my mom showed me Gremlins when I was 8, assuming it would be kid friendly. I personally wasn't bothered by any of it but she spent almost the entire time asking "How on Earth did this get a PG rating?".
