I also have a family of 4 and live in a one bedroom in London smaller than this one. It’s great that the kids get their own room. However It can get depressing not having your own room as an adult 😢. It also gets cluttered and messy quick which is a pain as it means I’m constantly having declutter and organise all our stuff. Praying to get a bigger home one day inshallah.

Stunning beautiful! Creative, functional and gorgeous home! We are a retired couple who live in a 550 square foot cottage. We have 2 cats and 1 dog as well. We have an open floor plan with only 1 interior door -for the bathroom. Our bed is a Murphy bed as well and we LOVE it! We are going to look into the “poof” - that’s genius and beautiful! Small beautiful spaces are nurturing and facilitate close relationships. We love our cozy home that also has many books (we are a retired teacher and a retired children’s librarian) and wouldn’t trade it for an inch more space! It’s easy to maintain, cleaning is a breeze and as a result, we have so much time to spend on doing the things we love and enjoy! All the best to your family! Thank you for this lovely video!

What a beautiful lady! I love her spirit! She is very intentional with her space. Organized yet doesn’t feel controlling. Everything of what they all need and what is important to them while living within their means. You can tell how loving and calm they are as a family. It’s refreshing to see. All the best to them. 🙂

Looking at the photos, they have very few years left in that apartment before the brother ages out of sharing a room with little sister. What a beautiful, intentional home for this season of their family's life. I wish for her fabulous closets in the next! This home is so good that I hope they do an updated AT video after they've moved into their next space for their next phase. p.s. The art cabinet in the kitchen is a lovely and practical idea.

@@Karen-ul9hd No, it doesn’t matter, there are laws about children having their own bedroom at a certain age. I’m not sure what the law is in that state and city, it’s different everywhere. I know there just will not be enough space when they get taller and have to move out of child size beds. The parents also will need their own bedroom.

I think your home is wonderful. There aren’t many people who live in a small home but still make it look practical and cozy, and your home is a prime example that both can work. We live in 54 square meters with a child and a dog, and we also use the living room as a sleeping area. It’s nice to see that it works well elsewhere too 😊

As a couple moving back to NYC (Brooklyn) and has space/location/price priorities even just for us two, I'm curious why living specifically in NYC was still the priority for this couple w/kids when they can get prob more bang for buck outside of it but still have access to it. I'm not saying it's a wrong choice, I'm just curious how they came to it.

65m2 for a family with kids is pretty normal here in Europe, in the cities. And in places like Hong Kong that’s considered quite luxurious. But I appreciate that Americans are used to larger spaces so this living situation could look sad from that perspective.
