I love Emily's attitude and I wish I could record everything she said about not worrying about setting up the home right away like a tic tock video. I actually shop my stash lately for craft supplies and home decor. I live in a 610 square foot flat in a village that was built in 1940 for US soldiers coming home from WW2. The kitchen and bath were renovated prior to my moving in. I left a spacious 3 bedroom house where I lived with my Mom. She became ill in 2020 only 4 months after I moved in and she chose to go live with my sister 😥 and I lived in her home along for a year. In that year she passed away. I was hoping to buy out my siblings but they wanted to sell it with some upgrades. I lost a beautiful yard that I relandscape on my dime in a minor way. I was the soul packer upper of my Mom's 31 years of life there all while still working a full time job never missing a day of going to work during the pandemic as I was deemed an essential employee. With the covid restrictions the apts with elevators were not taking new tenants so I am in the 3rd floor all stairs and I have one disabled leg. Laundry in in another building down in the basement. My apt is 610 SQ FT and semi spacious ok floor plan but very tiny closets. I am one of only 2 on the top floor and I have front and back windows. It's historically registered not allowed to use nails or molly bolts so none of my vintage rose paintings with beautiful large frames are hung. I am overwhelmed with all I have. Storage is high, my rent is high. My Mom left me all her main furniture. Where I lived prior to my Mom's was known as the largest one bedroom in Northern VA and the mgr used my apartment as a model. I had a very large long balcony with all my outside plants that did well inside too. I faced a beautiful fountain. I had 2 walk in closets and 2 normal size, large kitchen. I have 4 cabinets in my kitchen now and hardly any counter top. But, it's wear God has put me for now. My goal was to buy a ground floor condo in an establishment where the ground floor condos with French doors lead out to a beautiful patio where I can have my outside oasis which really would help me mentally. I looked at one a few months ago but it needed too expensive of repairs. I do not think I will make my goal this summer. I love Emily's home. My Dad and I have been wanting to go to Charleston for years and last summer we had our vac planned out to go and he became ill. I love your videos.
