Please find someone in Ireland, like one of Brigit’s friends, and authorize her to act on behalf of the family. Then the body will be released to her and she will send the body to Kenya. That will make it easier for you. Also liaise with the Kenyan Embassy in a Ireland to assist, and contact the local leaders to help. May God give you strength. 🙏🏽

Have you contacted the Kenyan embassy in Ireland to reach out to the Irish authorities for an official account of the events that transpired in this case? If someone was threatening her, did she call the police to report such threats? Ireland is not Somalia or Syria. This might seem callous or cold hearted but suicide is a very personal matter and only the victim truly knows the depths of their despair and misery to result to such drastic action. In some cases of suicide, the person goes to great lengths to try and conceal the fact that they ended their own life because of the guilt and shame associated with suicide. Denial is part of the grieving process. I’m more than confident that the Irish authorities are competent enough to distinguish a suicide from a homicide case. Of course the family would like to think their kin was murdered. That’s why it is important you seek an official account of events from the Irish authorities to clear up the matter

This is an unfortunate situation. The police should have been immediately informed when when this man was threatening her. Our African people tend to try and protect each other like people do in Africa. It doesn't work abroad. Concerning funds, someone close to the family in Ireland can apply for ' Go Fund Me' for the diceased, giving the full story of the case. People will then send money to the "Go Fund Me" account to help send the body home. We did that in UK for a Zimbabwean who died in Poland. Unfortunately some of us we haven't understood the full story cos the guy talking is talking in Swahili.
