I hope the truth comes out and not blocked to protect an institution and its staff. How can we trust a system to have our best interest if this is what you get.

Doctors are playing God making decisions who are worthy of getting a transplant Wow I can't believe it!! Memorial Hermann was on my top list, now I'm terrified.

Prayers for the family, loss is never easy. I am interested in the results of the hearing regarding the medical records.

So in this case, he was in liver failure from an auto immune disease and waiting for a liver transplant. While waiting did a viable match come in? Does evidence show that one came in and instead of going to this patient it went to another patient? Was his lupus flaring up while he was waiting? Had the lupus damaged other organs? Had the patient developed an infection from the lupus medications reducing his immune system? This sounds like an extremely complicated case since lupus is involved.

Was the dr thinking the transplant would fail too? There r a lot of factors but it seems to me he knew this man’s outcome was going to be fatal and he was ok with it. Scary.

Yeah it looks bad that he was removed from the list. But these transplants are more complicated than what it sounds. I feel like the doctor had a choice of giving this liver to a man that had low chances of survival or give it to another patient that had higher chances of survival.

Liver disease is a nasty thing. Not sure if he would have been a candidate regardless, but this Dr needs to be charged.

He didn't have liver disease. He had lupus. You need to watch the whole video first before you comment, not pause it bcs you want to get a comment out. Also, use Google to look up lupus and see what it does. I could tell you from my own knowledge, but you need some of your own for the proper context.

Livers are given to the best possible candidate. Whoever told you it’s a first come first get thing mislead you. A 50s year old male with Lupus will always easily be passed over. That liver will be given to a 25 year old non alcoholic candidate. (Unless it’s Dick Chaney )!! I know is sad to play God but ethics in the medical world 2:12 is just crazy. Someone with Lupus stands no chance getting AND maintaining that liver. Zero!! Those doctors should have been straight forward with him . Hospice palliative care would have been a more realistic option.

Think people should put the pitchforks away until more is shown. Even the reporter admitted they aren’t sure why he’s being accused.

They think he was manipulating the numbers to make it look like he had a higher success rate. Higher success rate equals more money and notoriety.

When waiting for a transplant, you’re basically praying for someone else to die so that you can live. I honestly don’t know what to think. This is something I just can’t phantom to have to deal with. So now why and who are they suing?

This is just uncalled for and didn't have to happen. One guy was in his 60's and Richard was in his 40's. How sad

You only have one liver. You can or live without a liver.
