This statement is false. The Government does care. We sometimes forget who the government is. So a reminder, we the people of this great country, are the government. We aren't a they. Our Representatives that we elect to do our work are spread too thin. There isn't enough money in the government till to do everything. That is why we as individuals have to do it. One other point, about priorities, if all the money spent on this past election was taken from all parties and spent on this tragedy, everyone affected would be sitting in new homes with all amenities. Again ,we the people are our government, We need to stand up to the oligarchs of this country that are influencing those we elect to represent us. We need to get those who have allowed themselves to be bought and paid for out of government and stop the oligarchs of this country from having the ability to buy them.

The AMISH have been in some of these devastated areas building the people Tiny Homes & people are pitching in & furnishing them ~ all for free . Anyone who knows anything about Amish constructed homes , barns , furniture knows it is the best craftsmanship out there . Gov Cooper now says they cannot live in them on the land where their homes once were , because fema says it is now in a flood zone ! Some of the state representatives have sent him a bill to make an exception , because many of these poor people are living in tents & will freeze to death ! He vetoes everything that will help them !
