Don’t worry Judy! If the splinter doesn’t hurt, it’s most likely in the outer layer of skin and a needle will only pierce the outer layer of skin to expose the tip of the splinter so you can grip it to pull it out with tweezers. Won’t hurt at all!

We always remove a splinter with dish soap water! Just put a little bit of it in warm water and stick your finger in it for 10-15minutes. After that you can get your tweezers… hope this helps.

You guys should do the Deep Cove hike next time you’re here! It’s a slow incline but I’m sure you could do it with the older girls. The view is gorgeousss ❤ also y’all went to Deep Cove during the best time. It’s super busy with minimal parking during the summer time The splinter scene 😂 “oh hell to the nah” I haven’t heard that in a while! As the kids say nowadays “your age is showing” 😂

Hi Judy, I remember my parents would take a needle or safety pin, sterilized with alcohol and burn the tip of the needle. Lift the skin gently enough to expose a piece of the splinter, and pull out with tweezers.

A trick to remove really hard splinters that won’t come out with tweezers - dab a small amount of gorilla glue or strong glue over the splinter, let dry, and then peel! The splinter should come out😊

14:00 Yes splinters were removed on their own but it takes time when the area where the splinters were swelling it actually pushes the splinters out of the skin.

Hi Judy! Epsom salt will help the splinter surface. Place Epsom salt on top of the splinter then cover with a band aid. Check in 10-20 minutes. You will see it sticking out. Use tweezers to remove. I removed10 small and not so small splnters from my hands with this method.

Hey Judy, i removed a splinter from my hand once, i used magnesium sulphate paste, i bought it at my local pharmacy, i applied it and then put a plaster over it and the magnesium sulphate helps to bring out the splinter. I think i left it over night and it popped out by itself. 😊❤

Two tips: not sure if you got the splinter out or not, but Google “splinter removal and baking soda.” That’s supposed to work. Also, after I shower, I hate having wet hair in my neck/shirt so I also put a towel around my neck like your girls do and use a ponytail to connect the towels ends so it’s like a cape. Been doing that for years and it works great!

Last summer I got a splinter under my finger nail and it went into the skin under the nail. It really hurt! They said I would need to have the nail removed and have it taken out surgically and I said nop! I soaked it everyday several times a day in warm water & baking soda and a hint of dawn dish soap along with praying for it to self heal. It worked! It took a week but was so swollen just from the impact of being shoved in there. I too sort of panicked when it happened. I feel your pain Judy!!

Hey, Judy! Next time if just a little piece of the splinter is sticking up, put a drop of Elmer’s glue on it, let it dry, when you pull off the glue the splinter will come out with the glue!! Easy peasy 😁 No needle required!

Get Benji to dig it out for you! I always use the needle cause it’s smaller and you don’t even feel the top layer of skin when removing. I use hydrogen peroxide to help bubble it out if not clean it nicely, us usually a splinter feels worse in the. Getting it out.
