Thank you for this great, informative video! I’m trying to decide between the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and the Grand Palladium White Sands. I’m traveling with my husband, 16 year old son, 13 year old daughter and 2 year old daughter. We have been to Mexico many times but never to the Costa Mujeres area. The things we care most about are a nice beach, good food, nice accommodations, some authentic Mexican food and outdoor dining if possible for at least breakfast/lunch. The only excursion we plan to do is a fishing excursion. With that all being said, which resort would you recommend if you had to pick one over the other?

Thanks Emery for watching our videos. I’m assuming you watched our other ones as well. It’s such a tough decision. I would say since you are not planning on any other excursions and you have your whole family then the Costa Mujeres would be good for you guys. It’s Family Select portion is awesome as you can see from the video you just watched. Both resorts are amazing and we lean towards White Sands but the Family Select Rooms are hard to beat. Now if your teens watch our video on the Xplor park they will want to go LOL. That park is 20min away from WhiteSands and over an hour away from Costa Mujeres. So if you wanted to hit other attractions then definitely stay at white sands. But with fishing tours you can do that there our family went during our trip and they got back and they cooked up the fish for them. They loved it.

Xplor was something my son was interested in but he needs to pick between the fishing and that so definitely need to think about it. Do you mind me asking why you personally lean and prefer the White Sands? Is it a particular feel that the resort has? It’s hard because I love that Costa Mujeres is new and modern but it also looks like a lot of concrete where as the White Sands property looks a bit more what I think of when I think of Mexico. The Costa Mujeres loft suite though is amazing!

Hey Emery. Yes we love the White Sands for a few reasons. One big one is the environment because it does have a jungle feel to it, it’s close to what we like to do like Xplor for example, and even though we stay in White Sands we are part of a much bigger resort and more restaurants with all of the other resorts included. It’s like they plopped a resort down right in the jungle. We have stayed at multiple resorts in different countries and we always compare them to Palladium Riviera Maya. But the Family Select in Costa Mujeres is really hard to beat. You’re basically getting Royal Suites treatment but for a family. If Riviera Maya Grand Palladium would get a Family Select building it would be huge. I know it’s a hard decision but you won’t go wrong either-way. If you want that Mexico feel than Riviera Maya but if you want the easier set up for your family to keep everyone together with the great suite than Costa Mujeres will work great. Great video! Is there a light for the stairs? My kids might need to come upstairs at night & I don't want them to trip on the stairs.

Hey Valerie. Yes thank God there was. There is a switch at the bottom. Just make sure they don’t grab the glass railing. They put these glass railings on the stairs and patio that people have to be careful leaning on your pulling on. But you will love it. Fantastic room tour! I stayed at the GP in Jamaica, so I know a little about GP. This family suite is fantastic! Is this resort about 40 mins. from the Cancun airport?

Thanks David. Yes it’s really close. I would say 30-40min. We have stayed at the riviera Maya GP multiple times too. That’s a great resort. There are some videos in the playlist I sent you of that place. This GP is newer but the Riviera Maya one is more immersed in the jungle. If you have any video of the Jamaica one that would be great to see. Thanks again!

@@GrahamsonaRoadTrip Yep, I have been watching your other videos too. What kind of camera are you using? The videos are very steady. The other GP in Rivera Maya is kind of far from the Cancun airport right? I stayed at the Iberostar Toucan and the Sunset Princess in the Rivera Maya before and they are good. I need to learn how to edit videos, so I can post some of them. The GP in Jamaica is nice, but the beach is small. Thanks for all the videos to watch the next few days. I am not going anywhere until more of the world gets vaccinated.

@@davidng407 We actually used IPhones with a Gimbal. But since then on some videos coming up we are also using a device from DJI called the pocket 2. Here is a video on it. But you are also close to Playa DelCarmen which is a small little tourist town by Cozumel. You really cant go wrong with either resort. The Cancun one was really nice and the reviews we are getting on the video have been great. People seem to really like that resort.

Was there a door that shut at the top of the stairs to the upstairs bedroom?

Hey Monica thanks for watching our video. Yes there are doors at the top of the stairs as you enter the room. It’s two wooden doors. It was a great room but be careful on the steps.
