We have to break up our morning basket but I love gathering together even tho sometimes it’s just my older kids!!! As a teenager I loved evening worship!!! We don’t do this often now!!! My younger kids love MV even tho we read from the Bible and learn catechisms and bible verses!!! We seem to sing more worship songs than hymns!!! I move out Bible times in crazy times to different times of the day!!! We are doing guest hollow botany and linking it to nutrition!!! We are doing church history this year!!! We still mainly unschool geography but we are curious so it works for us!!! I often get geography questions from my kids!!! We use CC memory work!!!

We used to break up our morning basket to a morning and afternoon, but it was hard to reconvene afterwards and plus I like to be done with me leading early enough that it doesn’t feel like I’m “teaching” all day. What does MV stand for? Memory Verses? I like how you organically learn geography. Church history is fun. Cool that you link botany to nutrition. I would love to hear how that looks. Are y’all a part of a cc community? Thanks so much for sharing and watching. Your morning basket sounds fun!

I spread our morning basket items out throughout the month. Seasonal vs. all of the other stuff. 🌻

What a great idea. I like how you incorporate seasonal items. Thanks for sharing!

The vocabulary cartoon book is a good source. 🌻

It is so nice that you start the day to read the Bible to your kids. It is so nice to have those theological discussions like that! Keep up the great work. I love the old hymns. You don't really hear them these days at all. So many kids don't know anything but "Amazing Grace," if they even know that one. I enjoyed learning about Blackbeard's family living in infamy haha. Great way to learn vocabulary. I love that you have taught some financial literacy. So vital. It was cute your little girl was in the background clapping and working on stuff. I like the Yo, Sacramento book. That looks like a great way to learn. Your son seems to be a great artist. When I was involved in co-ops, I used to teach art to pre-teens/teens. I love art! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the encouraging words! I prefer the hymns actually and I love learning about the history behind the various hymns. There is so much more than we know. Cool that you taught art before. I loved when we were able to get art from our co-op because it’s so hard to get into a school week. So y’all do any school together? Or do family subjects?

@@TheChan7 I homeschooled my oldest two from age three through when had to get a job which I had for a couple of years (my oldest was about to enter high school). I teach them every day in conversation otherwise, but they are in public school now and I miss homeschooling. My baby will be homeschooled.

I see. Conversational homeschooling still counts 😉 those are invaluable lessons and moments. I’m sure you’ll have fun homeschooling your baby.
