My family made it a tradition to have Hawaiian Luau, Lau-Lau every New Year’s Eve! 🎊 🎉 We washed the luau leaves and took of the tip of the leaves, we also took off the stem and strip of the stems. It really didn’t have any taste, so, Yes, you’re right Rita, if you don’t clean the stem of the Luau leaves. We wrapped the lau-lau with T leaves. However, it will be itchy, if you don’t wash it. Hi sis 🙋 thank you so much for the amazing support 😊 absolutely you only need 4cups of whole milk or evaporated milk 1 cup of sugar (bring it to a boil) In a bowl add 3 egg yolks 1/2 cup of milk 4table spoon of custard powder If you don't have it, you can use cornstarch (cornflour) and mix it al together. When the milk boils, add the cornstarch mixture in the pot and stir until it thickens up 😊 thank you so much for watching 😊 alofa atu and have a wonderful weekend ♥️♥️

Thanks for asking about the tips of the taro leaves. I always watched my dad make palusami n when he cleaned the leaves he always took the tip of the leaves off. He told me it was because the tips are itchy. So I believe you. Chef your too funny😆😆. Love your family. You all are a joy to watch. Happy belated Thanksgiving😊
