I think one of Ed’s worst moments was when he tried telling everyone that Michael Anthony couldn’t play bass and that Ed alwasy had to show him and teach him the songs , that was straight up disgusting and as much as I love Eddie I was ashamed of him in that moment . He was a glorious man who changed music forever but he was also an addict and alcoholic who at times could turn into the meanest and most volatile human being out there. Completely different person as is anyone in the grips of an addiction. I’m so happy he got sober in the end . I’ll enjoy the music they left us , because in the end that’s all any of us will ever have .

Surprised Dave seems to hate ADKOT. I can't think of a better release from a band in their "twilight years". Usually when a band that's been around for decades release a new album, you know it's going to suck and will disappear like a fart in the wind (I'm looking at you, Rolling Stones). ADKOT is something I play all the time, alongside the other 6 VH albums (NO Van Hagar in my collection). DLR sounded great, the lyrics were great, EVH sounded great, the songs kicked ass.

I get why Ed wanted to play in the band with his son. What father wouldn't? Obviously Dave thought the kid overstepped his boundaries in the band and is not letting the kid take pot shots at him with negative comments in the media. Dave is firing back. It should have been made clear from the get go that the kid is at the bottom of the chain of command in this band regardless if his last name is VH (Edward should have tuned the kid in to this).
