I always appreciate when people highlight my hometown. My family has been in this town before Cali was even considered a state and it was on a Mexican lease of the land during the gold rush. My great aunt used to own the historical Hotel Jeffery and my grandmother owns a trade shop there still to this day. When I was young I used to run into town and get ice cream from the previous owners of the deli (for free, or the change in my pocket). As I grew older I was able to even enter the VFW bar (it’s usually only for locals/veterans because the people who bartend are usually there for a short time on volunteer work). Everyone takes care of everyone there. I believe I’m the only on in my 20’s who still visits, born and raised. All should visit and absorb the history of this lovely place! We love you!

I love looking at old structures and imagining what they were used for when new, and finding old photos that show the changes through time. I'm glad y'all are enjoying yourselves. Peace and love.

Road motorcycles all over that area for summer and or weekend rides for many years. Usually was hot but we were all young then and loved the roads and history. Mostly passing through heading up into the Sierras for camping with my buddies. Good memories.

Coulterville and Markleville are two of my favorite rides. You’re going to enjoy the ride from Marleville to Yosemite!

Reading the info on Coulterville, it mentions the well was pumped by 2 Newfoundland dogs. Coincidentally that is where I'm from and live to this day. Remember a few years ago Shawn, you were out for a ride and see 2 big black dogs. Those were Newfs. Very cool indeed. Hope you enjoyed and still are having fun on your trip. You both deserve it. 🙂👊

If you get the chance just a few miles north of Coulterville is Columbia . At the state park there is the original town it's been kept exactly as it was in the 1800 's really cool..worth the trip for sure !

There's a caboose just like that in Temiscaming, Quebec, Canada. They turned it into a small restaurant. Nice video, I was envisioning Yosemite Sam (Bugs Bunny's adversary) to pop up in your video and start firing his two guns at any time. lol

Coulterville so reminds me of gold mining towns here in Australia, the architecture is so similar. I'm enjoying seeing a bit more of USA country , makes a change from Washington, enjoy your stay .👍
