After owning an RV for over 10 years my secret is to keep up with all the maintenance that's required and check the different systems frequently. I use a wonderful vehicle maintenance program called Automotive Wolf car care software that I use on my laptop and configured it to not only monitor my RV's maintenance schedule but also all the other little things that are needed to keep an RV in good shape like inspecting the roof for leaks every 6 months. The software also keeps track of all my expenses and trips so I know all the RV parks I've stayed at and whether it's worth returning there. If you really want to save money keep up with the maintenance!

Just found your channel! We bought an rv over 10 years ago and i would do it over and over again. It is the best way to travel with kids who grow up to be teenagers. 😉Our kids look forward to our vacations and respect each one as family time. I think it's brought us so much closer as a family

Check the temp on your oven with an oven thermometer. It is adjustable by pulling off the oven knob, looking on the back for a screw with a plus or minus and adjusting the temp up and down with a screwdriver. Yes you would think these where set in the factory, but they can be off. Hope this helps with the cooking also.

Also been watching a lot of videos on KZbin mostly for something to kill time.. But I’ve got to say you actually showed that I never thought about and I use my oven lots when I’m out camping, thank you for your pizza stone trick, I’m definitely going to get one before I go out in my rig in the spring!!!

It worked great! Just don't travel with it in there, ours cracked on a big bump AND most importantly make sure you look up directions on how to use it for the first time. There are steps so it doesn't crack under heat the very first time you use it. Like priming it.

I like your cosy home. Yesterday, I came across a candle warmer. It is a great way to create a lovely scent without having to have a flame needing to be watched in case of fire. It was only $4.50 in original wrapping at the Thrift Store. Will be a great addition to my vintage RV. I love your floor cleaner, especially as it doesn't not involve replacing parts continuously and therefore saves money. Safe travels to you and your family!

I don't have an RV, but, a couple of other items (folding) that are useful are: 1) a folding or collapsible wagon and 2) a collapsible cart (small). I've seen neighbors who have the wagon and it'll collapse to a small footprint for storing. They are avail at Target, Walmart, etc. Prob at Amazon, too. Also, a collapsible cart (abt 15x15x16 folds to abt 3x18x16); it holds a ton and easily stores. I carry one of those in my car to haul groceries, etc). Office Depot/Office Max carries one style for abt $25. Hope these suggestions help you and your followers.

Nice video thank you for the video on the must haves for your Rv. It helps. Glad you tie down the awning when it gets windy and then get in when it gets really super windy that wind can rally damage it and damage other things as well. Stay safe.

We have one of those prickly grass mats for outside our trailer and we love it. The nice thing about the grass mat is that what ever is scraped off the shoe, it drops below the grass and it keeps the shoes and the mat cleaner. Also, just inside our trailer door we have a water absorbing fabric mat that we absolutely love! We are in the Pacific Northwest, so it rains a ton and we have a lot of evergreens and those fabulous needles get EVERYWHERE! The combination of these 2 mats has made camping life so much easier and I think together they cost maybe $15 but the mats we have are small. (Our trailer is only 19'6" long, including the tongue.) We have one of those mat's that you guys have on our house door step but that mat collects everything that passes by it and it drives me crazy, it's impossible to keep clean. We have one of those collapsible dish strainers too and we LOVE ours!!! Just thought I'd share. :) Happy travels all!

Thanks for the video. FYI, it’s called an Electric Hot Water Kettle. If you google “insta-hot” or “insta-pot” you will not find what you’re looking for. Also, other items.... Portable Battery Bank, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Pads, White Noise Device (apps available on any apple or Android device, or Sony Alarm Clocks)(white noise definitely helps in an RV because the walls are thinner). Definitely agree on the awning tie downs. Even small wind gusts can damage it or even shake the rv. It’s like a giant sail lol.

I am super thrilled to have found your channel! We are taking the plunge and going FT RV life in Florida September. We have 4 kids but two are in college and will not be with us, but our 9 and 10 yr old boys will be. We have the exact same camper layout that you do and I am starting to silently panic over how little storage room we have in it. How the heck are we supposed to fit everything in it and not have it cluttered? We do plan on putting stuff in storage here in PA that we will need when we eventually find an area that we like and want to settle down and buy property to build a home. I figured I may need a tiny storage unit in Florida too for things that I will not need every day. I am watching videos and making a list of great organizing ideas. I am excited as heck but nervous at the same time. My boys are wild, crazy, & active so this is going to be quite interesting to say the least. Lol

One thing we always used when are kids were old enough to roam around the campground by themselves. We had a set of FSR/WalkieTalkies (Family Service Radios) whenever we let them roam they had to have their FSR with them so we could always be reached instantly. Granted we have a seasonal site where we have gotten to know most of the other campers and we all watch out for each others kids. BTW I'm talking about 15-20 years ago when We didn't have to worry so much about "Strangers"! So this obviously depends on where you are at!

Lol, I just made a list of my must haves for a friend who has also decided full time in her motor home. Literally every thing but 1 that is on your list is on the list I gave her. The only thing different is the bona brand mop. After watching your video I think I’m going to get one and try it instead of my swifter. I also had an electric skillet and an insta pot on my list. I appreciate your families videos. It’s so nice to see a channel that a family can watch without bad language and bad examples. Your helping make full timing a little more acceptable. My family (my 2 pups and I) enjoy watching and are always looking forward to new videos. Stay Strong!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! We really appreciate hearing when people are enjoying our videos! Hi, a micro van with a bed, sink, stove top, seats and a table. I have some storage so I need creativity on hyper drive. A new phase as empty nesters and with advice to enjoy this time, I am going to give it my all. I'm starting with menu planning and what I need to make, I am putting my recipes together based on a double use for what ever tool or appliance I take. I've planned a mini laundry supply and a vertical cutlery and cooking tool caddy. For living small I'm seeing it's one thing, two uses. All advice is most most welcome, thank you. 😍

I'm so new I haven't even purchased my RV yet. But I have a suggestion. In lieu of a pizza stone, try a 12x12 tera cotta tile. I have had success with them in my home oven. Love you channel.

Subscribed. Well done video. Honest opinions. Opinions based on your experiences and the two of you were a lot of fun. Made me smile and laugh a little. Well done! I just bought a 28.9 for Forest River Surveyor Sport Eco-lite. So far I love it. I intend to live in it stationary for the next six months or so, before I go anywhere. Very handy tips. Much appreciated.
