I really wanted to wait until all the week 7 songs were out before taking this one on so I could get a good sense of how the vibe would be in the game and I'm really glad I did. It was awesome getting to see Girlfriend doing more than just her usual vibe and bop. Adriana would have been in this video again reprising her role with her hands in the air, but she just got her vaccine and had a sore arm. She instead still offered to film this one so she's still a big part of what made this video awesome!
I knew I wanted Jack to come back to play the part of Tank Man for this so I ordered a helmet for him. Despite him not being able to hear anything at all during filming, he did an amazing job and really helped bring this song to a new light with me. We tried some different stuff this time around including a clean section with influences from Holdsworth, Polyphia, and Chon. Was really cool because this song is a perfect example of what I love to work with when it comes to VGM!
This is a beloved song in the KZbin space right now so I really hope you guys enjoy what I did with it! Happy funkin'!

Man, you guys really killed it with this one! I loved the added bit of detail of Jack being dressed up in full Tankman gear to stay with the bit you've been doing for these FNF covers where both sides of the cover are dressed up like the character they are covering in the song, and his take on the "Ugh"s interspersed through the song sounded heavy as hell whenever they hit, plus I really appreciate actually putting in the doubled up "Ugh" towards the end where an "Ugh" starts up only to get cut-off midway by a second one, that's one that is pretty easy to miss, so I wasn't sure it was going to be there going in. Shame Adri couldn't reprise her role as GF for this one because her vaccine shot left her arm feeling sore, but I hope her arm is feeling better now, and at least she was still able to help out by being the cameraman this time.
