A short film supposedly about bookstores with a through-line about the difficulty finding a public toilet in the city - this is cinematic, and humorous and once again I am in awe.

About 10 years ago, I left new york city for asia. I've settled in Bali for the last 7 years or so. Before I left, I sold about 50 boxes of books at the Strand, and bought an iPad , swearing never to own another physical book. A great deal of nostalgia for me in this bookstore tour of yours. Thanks for being an actually entertaining book tuber. Sending you peac&love from paradise and really not missing NYC a bit.

Wait a second. So, you're telling me that this is not a million+ subscriber count kind of channel and just a treasure of a channel I have stumbled onto with barely 15k subscribers? 🤯 I am so happy to have found this channel in its relatively nascent stage (: (although I'm sure the numbers will change soon) 0:02 I've been watching Ana's videos for a while now(and enjoying them thoroughly) but it always gives the impression of being a much bigger channel considering the way she makes the videos, the quality of the content and the professional video shots at times. I'm an even bigger fan of her now and I'm excited to see how her content will change as her channel becomes more and more known (: Thank you for the cool videos, Ana.🌸 Absolutely adore them.

Okay, I'm back with my pizza and I am finally ready. First of all, I must compliment the sponsored section just for: 1. the product itself and 2. the funky dead eyed stare. It reminded me a bit of the wife in the Truman Show. Then, I must again commend you for such a wonderful video. My city, Trondheim, has essentially no independent bookshops (which breaks my HEART) and I hardly have the money to go hunting in the more expensive "antique" bookshops. There IS, however, a single antique book bar which I absolutely adore but who I have been avoiding for a few months because I delivered a job app and then flaked. OOPS. These bookshops are so wonderful, and I had seen the Strand in the corner of some of your other videos and was utterly curious. What a treat to see some of these places! And again, I must reiterate that you are truly a wonderful filmmaker and I love seeing you do your thang. Thanks for the new one!

I've never been to NY but you saying you can do anything and nobody cares makes me think of Berlin! I lived there some years ago and loved the feeling of freedom. You can be as weird or conventional as you want, you won't be judged and you'll probably find a group of people with whom you feel like you belong. I live in Paris now, which is a great city as well, but people will definitely talk and side eye those who fall outside convention 👀
