Hey hey hey, don't discount how exciting ball bearings can be. NASA has had a devil of a time understanding why th bearings in the reaction wheels of their satellites were failing. No matter how stringent they made they quality control, failure after failure kept occuring. At one point, the Kepler spacecraft was thought to be a lost cause when 2 of it's three reaction wheels stopped working, but they managed to extend the mission using the solar winds as a push force, holding Kepler steady. Well, it turned out high energy particles were causing small electric arcs within the bearing surface (something that couldn't be rightfully tested for on Terra Firma) these arcs would cause small furrows and weld-like beads on the bearing surface, causing the failures. A switch from metal to ceramic bearings has made this an issue of the past.

In a different video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHbLfp-lbJarZs0) Simon talks about a subject he did not know anything about only because many people in the comment section asked him to do it. Because it was our suggestion, he said in that video "If this is boring, it's your fault." I quoted those words in the comment section of that video. On *_this_* video, he said the exact opposite, blaming himself, so I did just like before and quoted the comment. In his reply above, Simon remembered what he had said in the original video and my next comment above is about what I just explained to you here. Do you understand better now?

Weet Bix, currently owned by Sanitarium (which is in turn owned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church), founded In Australia in 1898 and currently has its headquarters in New Zealand. Their jingle "Aussie kids are Weet Bix kids" is very appropriate, since the vast majority of Aussies did indeed grow up eating it for breakfast, although its not exclusively a breakfast food, since its currently just before 10pm here and I am snacking on a bowl of Weet BiX :D . Yes, I'm Australian and a Weet Bix kid who is old enough to be retired. Hot sick in a bowl would apply to my spouse, I personally prefer my Weet Bix cold. It's as Australian as Vegemite or Cadbury Chocolate. These are both Australian products which were until recently owned by Kraft, which is a US company I think. Vegemite has been bought back by an Australian company, Bega Foods, which brought this uniquely Australian product back into Australian ownership again. Not sure who owns Cadbury at the moment, but it is made In Tasmania, the Australian state known as the apple isle, just south of mainland Australia. Strange this modern world we live in, where so many famous brands are no longer owned by companies in their country of origin. Random example - Rolls Royce.

You're obviously from above the Mason-Dixon Line, or west of the Mississippi. Smithfield and Pruden's hams (among others)don't come wrapped in plastic or in (heaven forbid) in cans. They are the entire ham, hock and all, wrapped in paper then sewed into a cotton wrapper printed with the company name. You Yankees tend to find them too "tough" and salty. We find sugar-cured hams to be mush and bland. When my family lived up North in several places, though, there were always a few people who were big on gourmet foods who frequently got us to haul back a few hams for them when we went visiting. The hams *are* famous among people who really know how pork should taste.

Simon - the name I think you're looking for might be Tylenol. Acetomenaphin? Naproxen is Aleve and Ibuprophin is Advil. Ham is bigger at Easter, but it is often used at Christmas or there is turkey. There are a dozen brands for hams, though. Also - seriously? You've never heard of Nosferatu? It is the first film with vampires, one of the classics in horror. It was one of the first true horror movies and brought the entire concept of vampires into pop culture. It's even older than Dracula by 2 years.

I've been from the U.S. for about 26 years now, and no ham brand in particular is associated with any holiday specifically. It's a bit like cranberry sauce: It's a staple of the U.S. holiday feast but no names dominate the market
