A family that farms, works, play together stays together. All 4 of you make a good team I have noticed in your videos. I am glad your teaching your kids your values. I liked the side arm,the Browning Emblem on the steering wheel. I also like how you were trying to get ahead of the 8 ball there planning and executing your plans for supper. Back in my day on the farm, one of the most important things to have for repairs was baling wire. For you that don't know, back in the day they use to use wire for baling the bales, depending on where you lived. But,during harvest,a break down is always to be expected. THANKS for sharing your life and your family's on the farm.

I have worked for over 30 years as a Maintenance Supervisor and have hired a lot of guys. Anytime an applicant had "Grew up on a farm" or "Worked for a farm" that application went to the top of the list. Not always the best of the bunch but more times than not.

SERIOUSLY- they're botanists, horticulturists, mechanics, vets, herbalists, preppers, naturopaths even.... I just wish more would go natural farming practices like their grand/great grand-fathers did-often they aren't allowed to. Soil Carbon Cowboys.... great documentary on how 3 or 4 did it. Dr. Zach Bush did a documentary on it too and the emotional (and political/financial) struggles of keeping the family farm alive. One thing I know for sure, farmers have hard workin' wives!

I love watching your family, we used to have several hundred acres, but we cut way back since my husband got hurt pretty bad in a work accident, he's mostly in a wheelchair now, but if I give him a boost he can get in his tractor, I just packed him a lunch, he's on his way out to grade the road and run the brush hog, neighbors are haying now, so he's going to want to see how they're doing take care of yourselves ❤

You sure are the prettiest tractor driver I know. Lawrence and Westly remind me of me and my dad. He was a WWII Seabee and could build a house with a couple of hand tools and the plans in the back of his head. All he taught me was, "Here, hold this." When Lawrence said for Westly to hold something, it was Deja Vu all over again.

You know. I hear you say and I read comments about Lawrence's elbow's in his shirts. I was told this by an old farmer. Ya see son. I am tired and I work hard for a living. We break things as we work. Sometimes I am so tired I have to support myself by that elbow so I can stand up as I fix what is broken. And Meredith, in this case. Farming is just like working at a hospital or being a cop. Never ever say it's slow today or it is going so smooth. See, when you say that. That just opens the door to Mayhem.

Greetings from the western Ozarks, for a couple weeks. We repaired and cleaned fencerows Saturday ; more of same today and tomorrow. Maybe again Wednesday if this half mile doesn’t get done tomorrow. There’s a quarter mile of fence alongside timber that’s queued up next. That’ll go slower. Glad y’all got that fixed. Nothing like being a shade tree mechanic where shade is scarce. Hay fields are about the worst. Hottest places on a farm.

The farmer that lives just across the road from the John Deere factory in Waterloo Iowa bought a new John Deere and it broke down after 2 weeks so he went across the road to the plant and asked if any one could come fix it . They told him no . I was covered under warranty but had to ship it out and lost 6 weeks of use of the tractor . When you go past the plant now it has a nice parking lot full of Ford blue tractors that the farmer uses every day .

John Deere SHOULD have installed a bale counter on the baler. The old 14T baler we used back in the day for small squares had a counter. Lawrence needs a bale "kicker" on the back, so he doesn't have to back up to dump the bale. It really speeds things up and makes it easier for the operator.
