Too many overdoses. I've been sober for 4 years and I'm the same age as alot of these people. I'm grateful to be sober and I'm so terribly sorry we lost so much talent to drugs and alcohol.

I agree, when people are in the limelight the dangers of serious drug abuse pass our minds. fame makes us feel invincible but we are no more vulnerable health wise than the homeless man or woman laying in the street. RIP.

These people were not lost to drugs and alcohol they were lost because of their mental illness that caused them to drink and use the drugs. I’ve been battling severe depression for the last 47 years but I didn’t give in and blow my brains out😂

Queen's song "The Show Must Go On" was credited to the band but mainly written Brian May to chronicle the efforts Freddie Mercury made continuing to perform despite his declining health. It was the last song recorded for Queen's 1991 album Innuendo and the last song Freddie ever recorded. When they recorded it, Freddie's health had deteriorated so much that Brian had concerns that Freddie would be physically able to record it, but he did and to quote the band he killed it. Freddie never got to perform the song on stage, and it was released as a single days before Freddiei died to promote Queen's Greatest Hits volume 2.

Eric Carr was the drummer for KISS from 1980-91. He joined the bad after original drummer Peter Criss left to pursue a solo career. Eric was the most open member of the band during his tenure, and always treated the fans with respect and kindness. Eric Carr died of cancer and a stroke at the age of 41. His last performance on record was on the song Carr Jam 81, from the Revenge album, and his last video appearance was on the song God Gave Rock and Roll to You II, although the actual recording was done by Eric Singer, who officially joined KISS in 1992, after Eric Carr died on November 24, 1991, the same day as Freddie Mercury's death.

You had to have purposely left GREY DAZE out of your coverage of Chester's story. And I truly don't know why. They have released two posthumous albums with Chester with "enough material for a possible 3rd". And it's great. If you love Chester Bennington, you probably already know. But if you don't, go check out Amends, and The Phoenix by Grey Daze

It wasn't Queen fans that had a problem with Freddie, and his life style, it wasn't the Brits who banned his videos just they played women in it, it was America, banned because they wore lady's clothing in a video. Come don't blame the fans, he could have done anything and we'd still love him, the real fans that is,

Yes, it was MTV that banned the video. To bad they didn’t know it was a parody of British soap opera”Coronation Street”. Sad.Would never have happened today. Very innocent compared to what is shown today. Shame, as they never really gained back their popularity in America after that. ( & Hot Space!).

He was born on August 4, 1959 in La Jolla, a neighbourhood of San Diego and died aged 42 on June 6, 2002 in LA, succumbing to AIDS related complications, thought to be directly linked to his long-time heroin addiction.

@@pecker2-9 I worked in a factory making parts for the Dodge Viper. The parts were aluminum and I had to work the imperfections out of the metal. A lot of it was sanding. I got cut at work and had to go to the clinic. The doctor asked why I looked like the tin man. I was covered in metal dust. The doctor told me aluminum dust was very dangerous stuff. He said it gets into your lungs and your lung heal around it. I did the job for a year. They never offered masks or anything. I'm pretty sure thats what did me in. It was the only job I could find to make enough money to survive at the time.
