The J.B. Nethercutt Collection at San Sylmar in Sylmar, California has an automotive collection which spans over 200 cars. This collection was assembled by J.B. Nethercutt and his wife Dorothy, and is a result of a lifetime dedicated to a love of beauty in design. The Nethercutt's have a philosophy that they have stuck to for years: beauty should be preserved, enjoyed, and shared with the public. That is exactly what we hope to do by sharing this amazing collection to all of our viewers. My friends father, Lloyd Morris was a mechanic in the shop, taking care of and restoring these cars at San Sylmar for years. My friend and Lloyd's son John Morris was J.B. Nethercutt's personal chauffer and one of the drivers for the Big Rig that carried ther cars to various shows around the country. I visited the museum at San Sylmar years ago. I would love to see the new addition. I also remember meeting Jack, the son, in the early eighties when he used to fly his sail plane glider . John would drive the van towing the sail plane to wherever Jack wanted to fly.

Most people do not know that JB Nethercutt was nearly broke in the mid 1960's and was forced to sell his entire car collection to Bill Harrah just to make his payroll. But he turned the company around and when Bill Harrah died bough back his cars at the Harrah collection auctions in 84,85 and 86.

A friend of mine used to be his personal chauffeur and also drove their Show Truck transporting the cars to shows nationwide. What a collection and what a place San Sylmar is. I'd love to visit the place again.
