I remember being shocked when Haaland just stepped on Kimmich which being tackled and kept running. Poor Kimmich. And then during the duel with Neuer, Manuel (who's also quite heavy) was just thrown aside. For me, these were two clear moments when I realised that Erling is a total beast

You don’t get it at all. The player isn’t expected to beat every challenge, win every ball, score every shot. If scouts only took into account highlights where the player succeeded they would miss out on a lot of talent, clubs would only sign kids playing against bad teams. The point of this video is to display Haaland’s physicality, not to show yet another highlight reel of him scoring goals. The title is irrelevant, just a mechanism to draw people in

City doesn’t really have a “starting lineup” the same way other clubs do, when one of their starters is unavailable it’s a nuisance at worst, at best a chance for one of the many talents on the bench to shine through and eclipse a counterpart. That’s how Cancelo, Mahrez, Foden, and Bernardo Silva are in the team atm, it could easily shift around, they’re all world-class

@Bluemoon4415-s5v2 жыл бұрын
I have been thinking about this for a while. Some of those runs and challenges are both awesome and dangerous, too many of them will shorten his career. I reckon Pep will want to keep those to a minimum, a sort of trick up his sleeve in a key moment during a difficult game. Haaland will be used as a focal point for a final ball into the box, with our domination of the ball and territory he will score loads of tap-ins with the odd long distance blast into the top corner.

In all seriousness i’ve never watched a match where he played before all the hype of him joining the PL and Mancity…Now, this video has been playing on my screen for well over 3 min and all I can see is a footballer who is committing fouls where almost every touch with an opposite-team player is followed by the referee’s whistle marking a foul for the opposite team ,or , in the rare instances when there’s no whistle, he wouldn’t even make use of the opportunity and the chance isn’t translated to a goal (even though, in all fairness, he regularly hits 🎯 -to give credit where it’s due-). He also clearly has high athletic abilities (fast and well-built), although I’d very much love to see how high his jump can be or even ,god forbid , see him score a few headers. Now, I’ll be watching the rest of the video and commenting a reply to this thread as my first reaction to seeing Erling Haaland’s style of play.

People are comparing him to mbappe vinicius and so on it’s wrong. The guy is a pure number 9 whose only objective is to present threat in the penalty area and score goals. The guy is like the successful version of lukaku and that’s about it. And also the most dangerous striker currently behind benzima maybe. He’s not gonna dribble past 2 players on the wings or do a sombrero flick over someone in the corner.

I thought this was a video of him destroying his opponents, he actually missed most goal scoring opportunities than he scored in this video he barely scored any of the chances shown in this video The earlier one he did score, Looked off side to me lololo. He certainly looks a very physically strong player and he will score Goals, but he lacks a little finesse in his game.. a certain finesse all the elite attacking players have. To his credit, he is deceptively fast and very aggressively and direct.. I’m a little jealous his gone to Man City for the money instead of playing for LFC... Every goat's most dangerous skill is their mindset, no one can be a goat just with the quality, you just can be a Douglas costa,Pato or raphina with Just phisical and foot's skills, the real big thing in the big stages of football is their focus, vision and bravery.
