I am so blessed that as an Indian student who moved to USA to study Psychology, I had such a kind and lovely person guide me in my PhD journey and beyond. I was a toddler in Christ when I first heard Corrie Ten Boom on "Focus on the Family" radio program. I was immediately struck by my own cowardice: Would I be that bold? I didn't know, but I hoped I could emulate her family's behavior. They paid a dear price for their dedication to saving Jews, The Hiding Place was about a decade old when I first watched it, and I began praying that the Lord would bless me with such strength. I didn't want to "suffer" for my belief in Christ, but I grew out of that when Christ assured me that in Him, ALL things are possible, and Grace is given as Grace is needed. God bless Dr. Paulus and his family, because their iron sharpens iron. A time is coming when we all might be called to such bravery, These testimonies are important to all of us.

Paulus is a good name, and I imagine your parents trusted God to protect you and carry that name on. Your parents were amazing people. The answer for why people do bad things is not in psychology, though. It is in the early chapters of Genesis. And, yes, Jesus Christ, or Yeshua HaMashiach, is the truth. Not just for you. I was raised in the Christian Reformed Church. My philosophy professor in college, Maarten Vrieza was from the Netherlands. His family was also involved with hid Jews during WW2. He had great stories and posed many ethical questions for us to ponder.

I know a man who gave up jobs,houses,land,helped relatives who used him,relatives that never thanked him or spent one day of their adult lives sharing a meal or offering a ride in their car..this man raised two kids that the wife got pregnant with another man,,,this man lives alone,,some people who sacrifice are still paying for the good things they did..Yet in the end the good things we do are the reason we were born... There's no regret but that's not to say that it was a joy filled exsperince or something you could tell someone that would enjoy the story..In life we all sin and with God's grace once in a while we make a difference...If the people we help end up in a bad place it isn't our fault if we tryed to help.It isn't wasted we don't know who will accept Christ..We just pray,and tell them to read it for themselves,,,Lately the people I talk to,claim men wrote the Bible,or it was corrupted,,that is their excuse for not reading it...To me unbelief is a disease of the living,,,there are no dead unbelievers .

My grand oncle was a Baptist pastor. He « saved 14 Jews by bringing them in Swiss. One of them wanted to give him all his money. He said « no sir, I do that at the price of my life. ». He did let them plant patatoes all day near the French border, so that the German shepherd dogs would get used to their odor. And in the night, they went trough the river. He had a Christian partner from a Christian farm. He didn’t know the names the persons he saved, neither did they know his name for security raison. He was not seeking recognition and received none, but I guess hearing the final called “come in the joy of your Master, good servant” by he Messiah. Jesus Christ. He was God fearing, raised in Catholics but one day, born again. He became a baptist pastor and served his church his whole life without getting paid, and work also as cabinetmaker, he was excellent in his job. He was asked to do furnitures for the French presidency in Elisée. But refuse the offer to serve his church in Annemasse. Strange, He spoke to me about such events, once during tea time, when everyone else was busy asking how many sugar we need, some more tea and if more biscuits... I knew how precious was this conversation.
