At 16:32, black can drop the gold at 2b square to make a check, white has to move the silver in 1c to take the gold, and then the promoted pawn can just proceed to take the silver and make a checkmate at square 2b.

Actually he has been married and had a child even as he created these videos. From what I remember, Hidetchi had to relocate for his job to Europe and then after few years back to Japan and I guess that's the reason he's not uploading anymore.

12:56 Can White ignore at that point? I don't see that White can get an immediate checkmate, and at that point, Black can take the pawn on 3c with the bishop - taking a piece that has absolutely no value on the board as is and forcing the knight out of position to take it, which, if taken with the gold, can lead to a threat mate.
