Dimash got 100% for his first degree, and has a Masters Degree in musical composition and is currently doing a Doctorate in something. He has been onstage since 2 years old and started training at an academy in piano and singing at 5 years old. So in my opinion, he is probably the most educated, talented, high brained, lover of music and it's production on the planet. Couple that with his acceptance of destiny including all the hard work he had to put in, his high morals, beautiful character and unbelieveable humility and open hearted love for everyone, and the fact of how God placed him in that beautiful family and National situation....his name means God Given, and he is indeed a God given gift to all of us who appreciate him and his great works.

Every vocal in that song is Dimash‘s voice. 😉 This song is about mourning the dead and a cry for peace. The music video, that shows scenes of war that stand in shocking contrast to what he sings, is a masterpiece. The story draws you in and reactors regularly forget to talk. A requiem is a song that was written for a mass for the dead in church. Dimash uses sounds of mourning from multiple religions (pilgrims from different religions get shown in the video. Dimash himself is Muslim). It ends with an urgent plea for change! In the video there is also a declaration by religious leaders, that sums up the message of the song: Dialogue, understanding and the widespread promotion of a culture of tolerance, acceptance of others and of living together peacefully would contribute significantly to reducing many economic, social, political and environmental problems that weigh so heavily on a large part of humanity!

Thank you for your sincere reaction. Dimash can do EVERYTHING! OK, he said he still can't cook. His range (though he never wants to talk about it) is basically from A1 to D8. D8, BTW is off the piano! He had hit that whistle note, held it for 5 seconds with vibrato, when he sang Unforgettable Day at Gakku concert 2017. He can sing from base, baritone, tenor, alto to soprano and beyond, alien like (Check out his rendition of the 5th Element Diva Dance at his Bastau concert 2017). The Story Of One Sky is his baby, his Tour De Force. It took him 3 years to compose it and spent the money to make the MV (which is like a mini movie that he also acted in, and you MUST check out), and you MUST check out his premier concert performance of this song in his 2022 Almaty concert where he gave it his ALL. Just listening to his voice already have you amazed that there is nothing he can't do, and you are only scratching the surface. Yes! He IS THE BEST and for a very good reason. To understand him better, there is a series of documentary, 12 parts, lovingly put together by LiLaSi that you should definitely check out. This otherworldly low voice is also Dimash, you can be sure. We have heard this voice of Dimash several times live improvisationally. For example, during some press conference Dimash was asked about his angelic voice, to which Dimash instantly answered with this very sepulchral voice "It's not true" :) In a second Dimash demonstrated his vocal mastery, quick thinking and reaction, sense of humor, self-irony and humility. I don't know another person like him.

The video is really more of a mini movie that took him 3 years to make. All the changes in the styles fit the video. He is actual singing in English but it it's easier to understand the meaning when in the context of the video. One sky is a statement of the fact we all live under one sky-and he is a big advocate for world peace. The video shows the futility of war and he shows all the world religions going upward during the Arabic Chant (not yodeling). Worth the time to rewatch.

Quand il était jeune et jusqu’à ses 23 ans je crois il a participé à des concours de chants nationaux et internationaux qu’il a tous gagné ,en meme temps qu’il poursuivait ses études en musique à l’université. A 22 ans il a terminé 2e d’un concours télévisé chinois « the singer » à cause d’un point du règlement qui ,depuis, a changé après son passage car ce concours n’était réservé qu’aux chanteurs asiatiques connus et établis. Dimash ayant participé sur invitation, un étranger ne pouvait gagner…cela dit cela importait peu pour Dimash car il a acquis grâce à ce concours des millions de fans dans le monde. Après son passage au concours américain thé world’s best 2019 où il s’est retiré de la compétition en demi-finales pour laisser la place à 2 enfants (au Kazakhstan les adultes ne concourent pas contre des enfants) Dimash a déclaré qu’il ne participerait plus à des concours.

Believe it or not, the majority of voice teachers/coaches have designated Dimash as either a tenor or baritone! It's hard to believe when you hear all of his high vocals, but when he sings baritone it's so full and rich that you start wondering how you can possibly classify him? This original composition by Dimash is probably the best song to form an opinion of what range is his most natural, because you get to hear him sing (kind of extensively) in baritone, tenor, and soprano, with an additional nice surprise at the end! @@FretsOnFire Maybe in the first half of Join Hands, one could argue that he sings in very distinct ranges. First lower than Wei Wei, then he sings in the same range and then higher. Only after that he starts with the crazy melismas all over his range. ☺️ And Olimpico is separated in two different voices, but he transitions more fluently through his range for most of the song. So I agree that El Amor En Ti is probably the only one where it is this clearly separated. (And color coded. 😂)

И ближневосточный крик по умершим, затем колокол (по ком звонит колокол, Хэменгуэя), потом колыбельная умершим детям, затем высокая печаль и молитва. Димаш сказал, что человек это караван на жизненном пути. В западной культуре важен результат, достижение цели, а в восточной путь. Люди идут к богу, каждый своим путем. Не задумываясь порой, что на всем протяжении пути бог идёт рядом с ними. В клипе умерший паломник похож на Исуса. Бог умирает, когда была убита эта девочка. А умерший герой, смертью смерть поправ, защищает новую жизнь. Уходит, как пример, ведущий за собой. Нельзя дважды войти в ту же воду. Но если бы начать сначала, мы выбираем жизнь. Это антивоенное произведение. Слушая Димаша, думаешь, что небеса нас жалеют. В Грешной страсти, там художественный приём, рисует другую картину. Эта песня о плотской любви.

The yodeling appears near the end because it is a funeral tribute to that lead singer. You are right about the lyrics, they are about carnal love, which makes everything a bit ambiguous. I imagine that Dimash chose this song because it was a reference for the band A-Studio.

So, it's vital to view that Movie, for while the composition and vocals are, as usual, spectacular, here it is the VISUALS that are the most important focus. One Sky, this Mini-Movie - with the Maxi-Message, was premiered at the Bi-annual Congress of World Religious Leaders, hosted by Kazakhstan in September 2022. 15:05 Musically, there’s nothing he can’t do. He loves to use his voice to sound like instruments, too. And, as he says “Open me up all you’ll find is music. I am music”. This is a huge anti-war song that took Dimash 3 years to write. He despises war. So, he does what MJ showed him - sing a song about saving the world. Totally worth it to watch the MV for this - it’s remarkable. That’s another thing he learned from MJ - entertain them while delivering the message.

The lyricist isn't even English, they is Russian . He is surrounded by non-English speakers so that explains a lot. Today, at the Kazakh artist’s fan meeting with his fans, the audience saw the MV to this work for the first time. The film is based on a story written by Dimash, with his own screenplay. The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
