One time I was watching the older brother's video and he was making fun of Veronica for eating chicken so he repeatedly started calling her fat which caused Veronica to stop eating and caused her to be sad because she's been open about severely struggling with Eating Disorders and her bestfriend (Elsa) noticed how Veronica got really sad so Elsa started hugging her but then Thomas (older brother) said "I'm just kidding you look like a Medium in clothing size" which caused Veronica to start crying then Elsa started saying "She's a XS". bro as someone who has also struggled w an ED those comments would have CRUSHED me & triggered me so bad especially the “you look like a medium!” while being an xs like i’ve had a similar situation happen where my ex bf guessed how much i weighed bc i jokingly said i was too heavy to step on his back and he goes “you’re probably like 110-115 lbs!” i’m 95 lbs (4’11” in height so im not like super underweight) so to hear i looked 15-20 lbs heavier than i was (which on me bc im short that makes a HUGE difference in my appearance) was so awful to experience :(

@@Ravtskii as sucky as it is, I live in one of those third world countries where most SAs are committed by family members and most victims get shamed into silence. The few victims that do come out with their stories are rarely believed and are often ridiculed. And you usually end up getting shunned by the rest of your family for "getting them in trouble" I had this one friend on Facebook talk about her SA experience with some middle aged man in her neighborhood and was told by her mom not to tell anyone about it. I replied to her sharing that I was abused by a family member. Then that same evening, one of my aunts took a screenshot and sent it to my mom and my mom confronted me about it. I was so scared by her reaction that I ended up apologizing and I downplayed it so she wouldn't worry. Then she told me to take down my reply and never post anything like that ever again I can only post about it here since it's anonymous. For years, I was embarrassed because I didn't want anyone to know that I was involved in incest but when I told this one ex of mine, he told me it was abuse since I didn't fully understand what was going on. I was still processing what happened to me at the time.

For the most part, after 18 our brains are starting to prune neurons, in favor of keeping the connections and strengthening the connections, that our brain actually uses. That is why it is hard to learn a language later in life for example. Another interesting factor two, is that people who are assigned female at birth, actually have their neurons prune quicker. There’s a reason people have bodily autonomy at 18, and we start diagnosing certain mental illness is at 18. Sigh lol The amount of times I say this is ridiculous.

First of all,our frontal love (decision-making lobe) fully developes at 25. Someone can be labeled as an adult at 18, but that doesn't mean that a 18 year old has the same mental capacity and life experience as a 25 year old,please. A 18 year old is at a phase of their lives where they're worrying if they're gonna graduade high school or get into their prefered university/college, while a 25 year old is A WORKING ADULT. I'm on my twenties and the things I've learned and the growth I've had since I was 18 is insane.

Amelia used to go to my high school and was in my brother's class before she dropped out to be homeschooled. I never met her personally, but from what my brother's friends said, she didn't have any real friends in school and was snobby and used racial slurs. Honestly, I felt bad for her because of the way she felt like she needed to objectify her body, as a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD, on tiktok (if you read her comments it's full of creeps). Especially because she's barely a teenager, she still has to go through all of puberty and to have all her self worth based on physical appearance at this age is very sad to watch. I didn't even press the like button, but since Shorts works weirdly, her videos started to appear. My brother is a decade older than me and has always been a sort of parental figure to me growing since our parents were always working and because of that we have grown to be close. Growing up I would always want to be around him and only him bc it always felt safe. Now I am 24 with him being 34 and he is still one of the only people I trust (more than my parents tbh).
