This song is bloody brilliant. When the Waterloo Sunset melody comes in to take it all home ... goddamn it, Sheff.

I share this song with all me old mid aged mates and they love especially that ode to Ray D. That is beautiful. The vid is outstandingly clever. Brilliant song. When the band played in manchester my brother ,who lives there , got a cd signed for me. Sits on my mantlepiece and when visitors say ' what's that?' i say ' it's a cd obvs'. (Ha ha. ) and then 'lend me your ears'. They leave with a new tune glad to have heard

I found this video while looking for the Jobriath song late one night not long after my own trachy earlier this year. It right cheered me up as well. Where I live we get our own Waterloo Sunset every evening, but this made it all seem new again.

Each story, Will's, Gary's, Mary's, Dylan's and Ray's, they all make me weepy. Poignant. Genius and poignant.

This was actually my first song by Okkervil River I ever listened to, but I garun-fuckin-tee you, it is far from my last, this band is criminally underrated.

I love this song, I enjoy storytelling songs. I feel like it has a kinda Jens Lekman vibe, it's really nice.

14k views!? So underrated... Perhaps the genius of Will Sheff and Okkervil River will be discovered by future music lovers. Think Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers

Very strange on first listen, but it's growing on me. Looking forward to the album.

It’s good to see some of Will Schaff’s art paired with Okkervil River again.

Reminds me of Plus Ones in the best way. My good friend Mary Katherine and I were huge fans in the early Austin days and I think if she were still alive we would be talking about how much we love this song. On another note. This is perhaps the best and most engaging "lyrics videos" I have ever seen. I love the attention to detail and imagination.

Amazing connections in life: was in Laugharne at the graveside of Dylan Thomas and Caitlin Thomas only a few weeks ago and read about their life and his death. Both were alcoholics. Ray Davis also wrote ' Demon Alcohol'.

It's weird but it's great. Not a cookie cutter pop rock song.
