Kudos to the directors for the band's good balance. The trumpets are SITTING on top! The euphs are "pleasant sounding," the horn countermelodies are tasteful and mellow, the trombones are fat and crisp--and I hear all parts. From time to time, there's 1 or 2 tubas sticking out of the section, but the overall tone is improving. I'm hearing that signature crescendo on the ends of phrases now! Is the tuba section using a different mouthpiece model from the Dr. White era? 1st trumpets, be careful on the last chord. That's the 5th, so it suppose to be 2 cents sharp, but don't push that C too high! I look forward to hearing your next performance.
