Great job FAMU. People always going to talk trash. I would love to see this battle: FAMU BCU JSU SU The only four bands I want to see in one show.

No offense and I'm not trying to be rude or nothing but the tenors need to be tuned a little higher. I can tell that the heads Are a lil flat nice job y'all!!! Love the marching 100!!!

They split tenor parts so they have different tones similar to tonal basses. That is traditionally how tenors were played at all HBCU's until a lot of them started converting to chest tenors.
@thatcat414 жыл бұрын
I think they tune them that way on purpose. You have to really beat to produce the sound. They are not tuned like over HBCUs

A C Oh yeah I understand. Actually I think bass drums sound better flat. But still a good resonant sound. In my band we try to keep the bass sound good.

Actually what you are seeing and hearing are two different types of drums we use at FAMU....the two dudes on the end are playing tom tom tenor drums, which are larger and deeper in tone...the others are playing regular tenor drums which are normal size....

Eat your cereal Explain dirty? Not trying to be funny. I am a little familiar with their tech and it is very different from a lot of over HBCU/marching bands

I really don’t get the concept why have low and high tenors and a Corp style bass drum line I bet in person it just sounds like a bunch of noise I’m swac bound but now I see what other schools mean when they say famu drum line over rated and them big goofy looking long leg tenors give you no real room too flash or freak the drum and let’s not mention the classic strings on the tenor mallets we got high schools in my town that will out flash them boys and won’t drop a single mallet big facts
@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI4 жыл бұрын
We use the tenor and toms to fill in the parts....When the basses arent playing a run they're playing unison parts. Sit down and listen rather than typing some dumb comment like this

This man just said freak the drum 🤦🏾♂️ You can’t be serious.
