I think this was a good battle, I think both bands did wat they do best down to every detail of their respective style, not saying either were perfect but if 2 bands sound good then I give the win to the one with the best playlist or song selection, and ima be honest I think ASU had a better book between the 2 bands, the crowd really won that day from the entertainment. FAMU is a breathe of fresh air to the SWAC in all seriousness. Best Tubas by far. SWAC Tubas Scream too damn much. The technique is 👍🏾 unmatched. Famu, don't change. I heard a lil crankin in there. Let the the rest keep yelling music at each other. That's not you. Keep killing them with the best field shows and raw power on the field. It’s truely "just different". Keep fuckn BLOWING. I love your sound.

I crabbed the Mighty Marching Hornets in 1997. We started the 5th with 4 to 5 marches. We all played marches back then from JSU to Southern. This whole notion that ASU can’t play a march is ridiculous. It seems FAM won’t to stay in the 90s. I guess that’s ok. But do ya research on SWAC 90s 5th quarters.

Worthy battle I gotta say though at thought the 100 was completely prepared and def won this battle hands down! aSU impressed me with there selections everyone of them was good, but I felt the 100 won because they had came back with the edge every song, which one was powerful and even more swac like, them trumpets screaming on a whole new level now. That Phil Collins and let everything that hath breath praise the Lord stood out! Awesome swac battle

SWAC so use to being loud they’ve forgot about musicianship and articulation…now don’t get me wrong ASU is nice but it’s 15 inch subwoofers vs 12s and the 15s is drowning out the interior speakers. I’d take the quality 12s any day if I can hear all the instruments 😉 Let’s go FAMU baby!!!!

Bro! You can’t be a musician?! ASU songs all sound the same. It’s very clear. ASU can’t play anything complicated. Very mediocre.Their level of skill is a bit low for a university. They got a long way to go man. The skill is non comparable to FAMU. Clear as daylight! It should be 1 bad 1 sound. ASU sounds like they’re fighting each other! Loud (forte)is their focus. Musicianship is not! They only sound half decent loud. All other dynamics are horrible or missing. In this world of music we call it professionals vs amateurs! The difference is clear.
