I think the problem with making Robin older is that in the long run it removes an interesting part of Nightwing’s backstory, the fact that he was literally raised by Batman. If you want to avoid the whole child endangerment thing you could alter the way Robin operates. Maybe have him as some sort of assistant, at least until he’s older.

Honestly... just make Robin 14-15. It's not much older then in the new 52, he's still young enough to be raised by Batman but old enough to have made up his mind on crime fighting. If people complain, just point them towards Spider-Man and ask where exactly the difference is.

I don't think I want Dick to be a 'different' Robin. A ton of people seem to be talking about how Jason has potential for being added into the sequal, or would be an amazing addition (completely skipping over Dick) But I'd have to disagree. IF he's added in to the franchise, firstly I would like it to be AFTER Dick, it's only right. Secondly, and this is a bit of a hot take I think, but I think Dick Grayson has arguably more to offer to the franchise then Jason does. I'm not sure how to explain it, and I don't think I can do it justice. But hear me out, Dicks supposed to be the light to Bruces shadow, and it would end up introducing another perspective and approach to Bruces character. A influence that Bruce frankly needs at this point in time, as he's such an unrefined and early Batman. Jason, as per usual, seems like a perfect addition LATER ON maybe. But first, I'd like to see Dick, and his dynamic with Bruce.

I agree completely, dick Grayson is easily one of the greatest dc characters and it wouldn’t be smart to change his personality. One of the main reasons he’s such a good character is because of how he has such a similar origin story as batman, but instead gets Bruce as a father figure who understands EXACTLY what he’s going through as opposed to Alfred for Bruce. It’s because of this that dick ends up being the person and hero that Bruce even says he wishes he could be.

Assuming Batman gets a new suit in a sequel, I think it would be interesting to see Robin in a repurposed version of this suit, either Bruce gave it to him, or he found a scrapped version and altered it, giving off kind of an apocalyptic scrounger vibe. It has the short-sleeved look already, if you ditch the under armor and paint part of it red, it would look pretty cool

Matt Reeves has said that he could potentially bring in a grounded version of Mr Freeze into this world as well as Hush and possibly Robin, who I think should be Dick Grayson in this world, since it's Bruce Wayne in his 2nd year of being a hero. So Mr Freeze, Bryan Cranston. And as for Hush and Dick Grayson, your choices seem perfect.

He never said Dick Grayson he said Robin, while Dick Grayson is the OG Robin who becomes Night Wing and the leader of the Teen Titans given the darker tone of this universe it makes more sense for this Robin to be Tim Drake in my opinion. While Jason Todd could work I feel like Tim is the better fit and if they were smart they would retcon the Arkham inmate next to Riddler to be Hush and cast Willem Defoe as the Joker.

@@steventomasi5557 ngl I would actually prefer Dick Grayson to be introduced first like, every time. He’s one of the biggest people in Batman’s life and legacy which made him who he is. It can’t be Todd since he’s pretty rebellious and as for Tim, I would like to see him as Red Robin but as the first one, he doesn’t give lasting impact in Bruce’s life as much as Dick. I would say Damian is an option as well since he really is a big impact to his life but it’s way too soon to introduce him at this point. Without the League of Assassins being introduced, it’s hard to start a storyline with Damian and it will always lead us back to Dick since he’s the easiest Robin to start a storyline with, without affecting much of their further plans with the Robin character given Batman bring only on his early Batman years.

Storm Reid is a good choice for Barbara, and really like your pick for Robin. You should continue with other Batman allies: Adria Arjona as Renee Montoya, David Denman as Bullock, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Vicky Vale. Adria Arjona, known for roles in “True Detective”, “Emerald City”, “Good Omens”, and “Morbius”. She’s an up-and-coming Puerto Rican actress who has showcased a lot of talent, and is the right age for a rookie detective just starting to understand the underbelly of Gotham. Could see her playing a young Montoya, but also would love to see her grow into the mantle of the Question. David Denman, best known as Roy from “The Office” but also has featured in films like “Brightburn” and “13 Hours”. He’s 6’4, handsome but grizzled, still solidly built, and has played a variety of roles where he’s hanging on to his last bit of hope or patience by a thread. If they take inspiration from the ‘Earth 1’ Batman comics, then he would be especially perfect as a Bullock who started with Hollywood star good-looks and equally good intentions before he succumbed to alcoholism and depression, but still is a capable if rough-around-the-edges detective. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, best known for her role in the canceled-too-soon Netflix series “The Society”, and also films like “Guns Akimbo”, “The Voyeurs”, “The Greatest Showman”, and “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny”. She’s gorgeous and has some serious range that could benefit a character who has mostly been Lois Lane-lite in most alliterations. Is this new version going to secretly be a member of Children of Arkham terrorist group like in the Telltale Game? Is she going to be a martial arts master who covertly runs an underground fight club using the moniker ‘Lady Shiva’? Or is she really just a plucky reporter trying to find out Batman’s identity? Whichever way they choose to go, Natasha can deliver.

Personally I think Adam Driver would make a great Hugo Strange or Thomas Elliot/Hush. Having a kid Barbara and Richard Grayson would be a game changer in my opinion since it can potentially be used for a Teen Titans franchise. The Robin you described is actually similar to Jason Todd who was famously introduced by stealing the tires from the Batmobile but Dick needs to come first. A possible way to incorporate/hint at Dick Grayson's darker side (which he has but acknowledges and thus controls in the comics) is to show his days at juvie where he was placed after his parents because the orphanage was full and none of the foster parents wanted to take him in before Bruce comes into the picture. Him outright wanting to kill Tony Zucco is also an available route. That way he can connect to Jason when the kid gets taken in by Bruce since both of them have struggled due to the system in ways their father figure/superhero mentor doesn't quite realize and we could finally get the bat brothers on-screen doing stuff like helping each other find the best places to hide food or maybe some comic book brotherly activities like their skiing trip and stopping for milkshakes on patrol.

Yeah i think alot of people really miss the point of how important the order of the robins is in tempering who Bruce/Batman is. And you definitely need jason to come before tim. Without the loss of Jason, tim would never have inserted himself in Bruce's life.

I really want to see Azrael and the order of st Dumas brought to life and I think Reeves is the perfect guy to do it. I think it’d be a good adversary for Pattinson and would provide this interesting foil in someone as physically gifted as him. I think I'd prefer to see Barbara Gordon. There's so much there that could be so interesting to play with in The Batman's version of the story. Barbara being Jim Gordon's daughter creates an interesting relationship between her and Bruce Wayne. This could be amplified if, like in the cartoons, she's flirting with him but he's hesitant to go there because she's the daughter of a close friend. Showing that she's just as great a detective (if not more so) than her father would be pretty cool too. Her ingenuity in the cartoons, which we see LONG before she becomes Batgirl, was pretty awesome.

If we are going to continue with Gothams corruption, I would like to see the court of owls, Hush, or Hugo Strange/ Arkham. Hush would fit perfect since they said that “Elliot” was the reporter that was killed. If they went Court of owls, they could bring in Dick Grayson saying that one of the Talons killed his family when they attacked the circus in town… or redo Mr. Freeze as a man thats suffering from extreme frostbite due to the experiments being sabotaged while trying saving his wife and needs that suit to survive… Professor Pyg would be another good one…I’m ready to see different villains and not the same ones we’ve seen since ‘89

I really like your casting for Mad hatter, he's a villain who i think fits really well into the new universe. I'd personally pick Matt Smith for the role however. He'd nail that kinda weird and zany vibe of the character (As seen in his work on Doctor Who) but can also do really well as a more heartless villain (as seen in Last Night In Soho). Plus he's an actor who I think deserves a role in a big franchise. After being cut from Star Wars and shafted by Morbius.
