I know it’s probably a joke about the fan being gluten free, but it’s actually entirely possible that it isn’t as well, and that the answer could even be legitimate too. Many non-edible things can contain gluten and cause reactions for those with allergies, including modelling clay and packaging in some cases. If gluten is involved used to create pigments in one colour variant but not another, then it could actually cause a reaction to touch or even have the air interact with a fan with gluten used for its colouring, since many allergies can occur just from airborne particles, and somebody who may have it far more severe could actually need information like this.
