Here's my experience. At 29, back in 2020, I made the choice of going back to school to become a dentist. At this point, I've been a dental assistant for like 4 years, married, and had 3 kids. So going back to school, I had to start at the beginning of my undergrad journey because I was stubborn in my early 20s and didn'twant to achieve a super duper high education since that's what my mom wanted for me and I was focused on being a mom. Now I'm about to graduate with my undergrad spring 2024 and will work to get into a dental school. This journey, was extremely difficult, from kids, dealing with my husband, pandemic, my first university closing down in May this year, but it's what I really wanted to do so I never gave up, even though I REALLY wanted to at many points of this journey. It was a sacrifice but if he wants to do it, go for it full force. You will find a way to manage family, marriage, and school somehow.

I mean starting over at 25 is usually fine, but the problem is that he got married and is expecting a kid. So can't just throw caution to the wind anymore.

Yeah, but if he kills his dreams for the sake of his wife and kids, he might start resenting them at some point. People tend to bottle up their regrets and channel them in unhealthy directions.

As a 34 yr old wanting to switch careers to IT ironically. JUST DO IT, cause in 2 years you would still have to do the same. I said the same 3.5 years ago, got busy, had a kid still stuck at the same dreadful job for measly pay and no excitement. You will have to do the work(school) no matter what just do it don't over think it and just start it. It will suck but you will thank your old self in the future

It is never too late to change your career and trajectory in life. As long as you choose to stay in a place where you are unfulfilled and unhappy, you will continue to choose to not live to your greatest potential. Move towards a future you want to create for your family and yourself. Do so sacred, wittingly, and thrillingly. Enjoy the journey, learn from your experiences, and keep moving forward.

Most of this room isn’t thinking about him being married and expecting a baby. Babies aren’t cheap at all. And so is he planning for his wife to be the sole provider while being pregnant or having a baby? I’m not saying he shouldn’t go for his dream but maybe do it part time after work, sure it’s will take longer but it won’t bring as much stress to his wife
@feliz_aug74111 ай бұрын
there is a type of forensic science that deals with IT called digital forensics. The job looks more on digital evidence on cases so with his background in IT, he only needs to take like a year of classes to get a good basis to know what hes doing. The rest of the knowledge would come with experience on the job.

I'll be 32 at the end of the month. I had 3 kids before 30. So I see the comments, yeah kids are expensive, but it can be done. My late 20s and early 30s, I got my bachelors, then masters while working. Am I doing my passion? Yeah, sort of I guess, but I tell kids (work in a school setting, not a teacher, more like a mentor who teaches life skills) all the time, adulting is hard af. They don't even know.

My friends just broke the news to us yesterday and said they're finally having a baby. Both are 35 yrs old, waited until they paid of their school debt, wedding debt and bought a house. Cars are all paid off and both work, she works from home and he does both. And both are Asian. They didn't let their parents pressure them into having a baby too soon because shit is getting expensive

"Cuz I'm 37 and too old." Hilarious🤣🤣. But I would suggest he like to work in that arena then he must research it thoroughly. There must be voluntary jobs for him at a morgue. Read that somewhere they do need voluntary assistants from time to time at morgues. Or he can do an online course and see if he like it. Like edX or Udemy etc. Or a collegee online like suggested in the video. And if he does want to cut and analyse spit, vials aka body fluids on a first name basis etc then there is a profession in I.T forensics he could try.

I didn't have my first child until I was 27 and my husband didn't have his first child until he was 50. Both of us waited until we were in a place in our lives where we could both be home, financially stable and have done everything we mostly wanted. Life is absolutely amazing for all 3 of us because we waited. I'm not saying wait until you're 50 but damn you can't wait until you're 30 (school for 3-4 yr, then work in the field for a year or more) before having a child. Tf
