They were originally gonna play Magicite but they couldn't get it to load up for co-op so instead TB asked Jesse to play Depth and he put up a half fight and then installed it after TB told him that they could torment the viewers instead of Jesse having to fight sharks.

Some of these maps are really balanced around the divers, the last one they played is 100%. Just large tunnels to swim down, very few areas to get them from above or below, seals are hard to find or far away, and the rooms are very small with only a few exists. Beyond that it's quite fun and original.

For what it's worth Jesse, I know your pain. When Super Mario 64 first came out I tried my best to avoid Jolly Roger Bay, for fear of that giant, horrifying eel. I hated the end of Hazy Maze Cave, because of Dorrie swimming in that lake, harmless or no. And don't even get me started on Dire, Dire Docks, which immediately drops you into the water with a giant manta and an equally large shark. On Half Life I never entered the water unless I knew any Ichthyosaurs were dead, missing a jump that would put me in the water with them would get a quickload. I understand how you feel in this Jesse, and I applaud you sir.

I've never been in oceans nor seen a shark so I'm unsure... Does a net even slow a shark down? The Shark's body seems like it'd be built for swimming, and not allow a net to slow them down just by being thrown over the dorsal fin.

DarthSears While most sharks are extremely muscular creatures, they only work because their bodily design is so perfect. Any larger disturbances, such as loosing a fin, is close to a death-sentence to a shark. The net is likely fitted with baubles of some metal, steel or lead, which would weigh a shark down. If a shark changes it wieght dramactically at a short rate, it's swim-pattern would be interfered with so much, that it's co-ordination would equal you putting a towel over your eyes, while trying to climb a steep mountain on a bike. Furthermore the gravitational pull on the shark, as a water-living entity, isn't that great, but adding a net designed to be heavy, would actually pull the shark down, despite the shark's muscular strenght.

Even when compressed, a net of that size (and weight) would take up some space. a "Net-gun", using compression to shoot a net, would need a sizeable clip of nets, if it were to have a fire-rate as great as that in in this game. A clip of any large size, would weigh the diver down and slow him down quite alot. So it's not so much the fact that the net-gun is over-powered with it's "shots", because if you managed to hit a charging shark with it, it would actually work much like in the game. Rather, it is the fact that the Net-gun carries quite a lot of ammo and have a relatively high firing-rate, that makes it an OP-weapon in this game. Most handheld, air-compression items, are not able to compress and decompress air very fast, some even needs a manual reload. The net-gun would need a much slower fire-rate, perhaps an animation showing the diver putting a new net into the gun. That, of course, raises the question; where would said diver keep the extra nets? And the extra nets would, compressed or not, still be quite heavy.
