@@captainflatspot pretty much did the opposite and ordered the universal hub for the time being, eventually gonna order the McLaren wheel and boost kit down the road. Feel like the DD is gonna make me want to eventually move to VR and a motion setup.. someday haha

Interesting, didn't know using the CSW2.5 mode would do anything for Raceroom. Will give that a go once I feel better! Thanks Cap!👍

It could also be the settings I did with the fanatec driver. But fanatec recomended to run with the compability mode in raceroom. And now autorotation works and the screen on the wheel. It didn't work before I put it into the "yellow" mode.

The shift effect is nice in the immersion settings though, I think I have it on around 20 I think. And also having the engine vibration on pretty low, like 5 or 10 I think, is pretty cool, when you start the car up in the pits you will feel a small buss in the rim, and a small vibration when stationarry if the car is on.👌

Definitely use compatibility mode for RR until S3 fixes it for PC mode. S3 said they patched it for the CSL DD already, but evidently, nothing happened. AUTO sensitivity doesn’t work for PC mode, you have to manually set the rotation on the wheel according to the car’s rotation. It only works on compatibility mode. Plus, the FFB works better in compatibility mode for now.

I have struggled to get in to RR since changing to DD as doesn't seem to feel right on it particularly when compared to ACC. I will be having a look at the settings you mentioned. but the wheel is great, I really enjoy driving with it. its great with the clubsport pedals as the pedal rumble works on it. Great video!

Thanks. Yea this DD is really great.I think INT is one of the settings that make the most difference in Fanatec controll panel. And playing around with the individual car forcefeedback strenght can make a big difference. Thanks for watching and commenting mate 👍

Raceroom has better ffb than AC or ACC. It feels more realistic with better linear torque throughout the range. This is true with my modded g920 and my new CSL DD. Its so realistic feeling that you can push all vehicles to the limit with confidence. You can feel the tires with strong grip like they're on rails.

@@abuelb before I bought my csl and using thrustmaster t-gt I completely agree. But just can't get it set up right for some reason. I will give it a go again this weekend. I do love RR. but LFM racing has been great fun on ACC also just now.

couple of questions then, are you using it on red or yellow? are you altering the full lock for each car os is it automatic?

Warning! Within 4 months of light use my FANATEC McLaren wheel cracked at the shifter pivot point and where it mounted to the QR. I was accused of over tightening although I used a torque wrench set at 3nm. FANATEC then replaced the wheel chassis admitting in writing it was a weakness in the wheel. Very soon after my CSL load cell pedal failed. I sent a video before sending the pedal set back as requested. I was required to make a follow up email after not hearing back. FANATEC said they can not fault the pedals asking if I want then sent back which I found a strange thing to ask? Eventually they were returned however within minutes I experienced the same issue which was consistent with magnetic interference from the CSL DD wheel base before the load cell pedal would completely shut down. I was beyond my limits at this point and driven to warn as many potential customers as I could while demanding a replacement. Following the usual delayed response, FANATEC then offered a replacement only if a show proof that they faulty load cell was again on its way back to them. FANATEC’s poor response time drove me to desperation. Keep in mind I have owned this new product for around 6 months when 2 major failures occurred. An electric technician overheard my experience and offered assistance. I was able to demonstrate the issue and within minutes the technician diagnosed a defective voltage regulator attached to the load cell circuit board. The voltage regulator is designed to reduce 5 volts coming from the wheel base or USB down to the required 3.3volts. There was no signal out of the regulator which he replaced. No thanks to FANATEC I am now enjoying my sim racing again while I hold my breath for the next FANATEC failure. Please take my advise and look at the FANATEC’s own forum in regards to all the issues they have and their terrible customer service.

@@captainflatspot LMP2 100% finns en fixed serie utan setups sen finns det även GT3 fixed nu utan setup med få varv som är riktigt trevlig, och där skulle jag recommendera Merc eller Ferrari

Its when you have to high forcefeedback strenght sent from the game. That make the wheel loose its details as it just behave like a hard resistance when turning and you cant feel what the car is doing.

That is the excellent standalone app called Criew Chief. Its a must have I think. Works for allmost all sims out there.

Clipping is when the sim outputs full force to the wheel and you just got " resistance". That way you loose info from the sim because there is no headroom for it to be stronger or lighter. I hope I explained it somewhat understandable 😅 And yea the 8nm power pack will help with that. that way you can have lower forcefeedback strength in the settings to have the headroom needed. But still getting strong feedback in your hands.
